Flash, my brother's neighbor's cat is gone. He died yesterday at 2:19pm. Of all our neighbor's cats, he was the only one who loved hanging out at our house, visiting our cats and eating with them. He was our Joey's half brother.
I hadn't been feeling well since early Sunday morning, some kind of cold. I had not been to my brother's house until yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
I came over to find Flash under my brother's truck in the front yard, cold and unresponsive, foam in his mouth... I tried to revive him - CPR - he came back long enough to look at me, so slowly licked the foam from his lips, then he was gone. We don't know what happened. My brother last saw him Monday morning. Flash was walking slowly back to his house. My brother hurried off to work, thinking I would be over later to let him inside... (and I could have - I was getting over the cold. Something told me I needed to go over but I didn't listen. Instead I was disheartened about needing help for an elderly woman's cats.)
Brother didn't text me to let Flash in, he didn't let me know that Flash didn't show up when he got home from work...that Flash was missing...that he didn't see Flash Tuesday morning.

We are so sorry. We know so well how it is to loose a furbaby. Momma says it sounds like poison. We are purring hard for you.

I'm so sorry. I wonder if he got into some antifreeze? It's the hardest to lose them so young :(
Oh this is such a sad story. May Flash be guided to the light over the bridge to play forever more with all of his departed furriends. Beau Beau and Angie will be there to greet him and heal him. Hugs,

Thanks so much. Brother told me that Flash acted like he was constipated Sunday night. Something may have been happening then. For some reason lately his tummy seemed to be way to big, possibly bloated... we don't know.
We don't know, but he was pretty smart about not getting into stuff, yet he did like drinking muddy water. He seemed to be acting oddly Sunday night, brother tells me.

Thank you... Sometimes when I was with Flash, I would get this feeling that he wasn't meant to live long - odd feeling. Now I know.

Just occurred to me that I came back at just the right miraculous moment to bring him back long enough for him to say goodbye, I love you.

Thanks Jan... Flash adopted us - that's what is more hard. Our neighbor didn't mind that he liked hanging out with us as long as Flash was happy.
