Bonnie, Mama and Kittens' Journey to Love

Today we are volunteering with Catz Meow Transport again. We could use lots of purrz and prayerz. First of all, brother accidentally drove over the median at a drive up restaurant window last night and bent the fuel line on our transport car. We are having to rent a car today.

We are helping Bonnie on her journey across Kansas to her mew Mommy in Colorado and then picking up Mama and three kittens to take them to Oklahoma to meet their mew Mommy Angela!!

From The Catz Meow website: The Catz Meow, Inc is an all-volunteer, leg to leg transport service for the safe relocation of cats and kittens in the continental United States.

Using a network of volunteers, and following all state and federal guidelines, we transport cat(s) across the country. Anyone may apply for transport – adopters, rescues, owner reunifications, military moves – anyone who needs to move a cat from one part of the country to another. We bring peace of mind that one’s loved one will be transported with infinite care and will arrive to its forever home safely.

Bonnie’s Story from Catz Meow: Sweet, affectionate Bonnie’s troubles began even before she was born. Her back legs failed to develop correctly so she has born with no feet and has only stubs where her back legs should be. Nonetheless, she manages to get around in her own way. In March 2017, when she was about 1 year old, Bonnie was surrendered to a local vet’s office in Louisiana. The Heart of Louisiana Humane Society stepped in to take financial responsibility for her and place her in foster care. She languished there, waiting in vain for someone to take her home.

Then Bonnie’s luck changed, thanks to TCM’s Share and Care page on Facebook. Terri in Colorado saw Bonnie’s picture, read her story, and fell in love with her. The necessary arrangements have been made and now Bonnie is set to travel to her new family, which includes fellow rescue cats Ollie and Peanut and a 25-pound Flemish giant rabbit named Fred. She’ll finally get the love and attention she deserves. 

Yesterday, Bonnie began her journey with a layover at one of the transporter's homes. Brother and I will be meeting Bonnie in Wichita about 1pm and then heading to Salina to hand her over to another driver who is also taking Gracie one of Mama Jewel's kittens to forever homes. Mama and Daughters Journey to Love:
Go West young kitties! Rhonda in Girard, OH took in pregnant Momma. Five kittens later, Rhonda had a lot of placement work ahead of her. The sole male kitten was adopted by a neighbor. Rhonda turned to social media to find homes for Momma and her 4 little girls. Pam in Marysville, WA fell in love with Gracie with the first photo she saw.

Pam helped name all the kittens but she chose a special name for Gracie, naming her after her very dear friend Grace, who lives in Ireland. Gracie will join Pam’s family that includes 3 other kitties; Lily, Jazzy, and Autumn, a dog Tahsa, 3 parakeets; Tikki, Sky, and Sunny, and a dove named Lucy. Gracie will get “all the love she can stand” from Pam and her husband Faron. 

Meanwhile, Angela in Davis, OK offered to adopt Momma and the transport planning process began. The remaining 3 kittens had no adoption interest at all so Angela asked if the 3 kittens could be transported to her along with Momma because, “I already love them all from afar!” The rest is history....

This kitty family will travel together until Momma, Gracie, Jewel, Roxie, and Samantha make a stop in Kansas. Then Gracie will continue her journey west and then Momma and three kittens head down to Oklahoma - that's where brother and I come in. Bonnie and Gracie will travel together to Colorado. Brother and I will be picking up Momma, Roxie, Jewel and Samantha and taking them to Oklahoma today.

Brother and I will be heading out to pick up vehicle at Avis at 11:00 then meeting Bonnie and her chauffeur at 1pm .
So far their journeys went well yesterday.

Purr. Es. (P.S.) Please pray for Silvia and her kitties. We are struggling to get in enough metal recycling to help her move to a real place to live. Gordo and his litter mates were given chicken bones without Silvia's permission, which caused their sensitive kitties tummies to throw up. Gordo may have hurt a tooth because his eye and nose keep running. Some tummies have settled down, but not completely.  The cats have not yet seen the vet.

There was some mis-communication last week

which kept Gordo and the other kitties from having a donation to cover their vet visit. If you call Arapaho Vet Clinic to help, please let them know you are putting credit on the account so Silvia can take her cats in to be checked from a chicken bone incident. Please do not say it is for a payment... the vet office will give you a wrong message. Monday Mewz Transporting Kittiez and Purrz Plz

Hiya Internet Folks! Katie Kitty Too here, waiting on impawtant phone calls... but we don't want no more calls from Rachel at credit services... I don't know who scamming Rachel am but she furry annoying...trying to takes our moneys that we needs for foods and stuffs. She needs a good slappy fur disturbing my naps.  I iz 13 going on 14!!! I needs my beauty sleep. Andy wayz... I'm going to gets mom to fill my water bowl...

We haven't blogged since Black Cat Appreciation Day - Alot of Mewz to talks about.

Last month, mom gots contacted by Cat's Meow Transport Servicesto helps transport a kitty named Oreo to her furever mommy in Oklahoma!!

 Then last week, Mom and Uncle Mike got asked again to help two ginger boy gets to Colorado for their week long stay en route to their mew homes:

Cornflake a young kitty who was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas and going to a furever Mommy in Utah, and Jester a 15 year old singer... um kitty who loves to sing the song of hims people am going to Montana to be with hims Mommy's Mom.  But our cars were not working goods!! One car over heats and the good car we used to transport Oreo - the switch am broke and not recognizing the security key.  So Mom had to rent a car from Avis using our Sears card.  The trip was furry goods though and Jester and Cornflake gots to Hays in a 2016 Nissan Murada... comfy journey.

Once in Hays, Kansas - Uncle Mike and Mom carried Jester and Cornflake to a mew chauffeur. Jester and Cornflake arrived safely in Colorado and are staying fur a week long pawty fur heading back on the road next week.

We gots more to talks about - like how we found and gaves away two cages to a small furries and reptile rescue, and Mom found gravel to gives to LAPP, a local no kill shelter.

We haz been picking up metal, appliances and electronics fur scrapping but just nots enough to cover everything needed.

• The Bonneville needs a new switch or bypass put in or cannot use the car.
• There is another kitty going thru Wichita at the end of September, please purr that we are able to help transport or another driver is found - this Kitty am Bonnie and her am special needs.
• Still have Mama Cat Baby Girl and kittens need to go to forever homes - we am hoping that pawsibly Cats Meow Group may helps - Baby Girl and kittens need spayed and nuetered.

• The elderly lady that gave us Baby Girl still needs our help to find her blind black kitties and her other kitties a home. and dat needs moneys to get them fixed.
• the outdoor kitty that Silvia feeds has disapeared and we need help to rescue her four month old kittens.
• Silvia's Guero needs money fur see vet ASAP due to UTI - because of hims surgery needs money for another vet visit cause him gets UTIs really easily.

The motel now am getting lots of bads people cause the motel across the street am being demolished. Silvia has nots found helps from local helping places cause they don't helps folks in motels or you has to be a church member (Mom says thats not what the bible says about helping folks - dat believers helps widows and orphans. And Silvia am an orphan cause her family went to court last week to cut her off from them.)  

We needs extra funds saved up to help her gets another place.  Mom am bin asking other pets peoples if they have or know a goods place to rents. So far do not haz somewhere.

Hello? This am Pearl. Foster Mommy Dawn helped me take mew selfies

Katie Mom am furry sick with the flu so we lates in showing all my cuteness.

I am learning lots of stuffs, like eating with other kitties, play conquer strategies, lap sitting and little barking dogs can be just silly and don't want to harm me.

I really like my foster home. Yet I am purring for my forever home that better has another kitty in it. I don't likes being alone at alls... Just a short update to keep Silvia in your purrz, Gordo came down with UTI. She was able to take him to the vet with donations from a kind soul on Facebook.  Silvia has been giving her cats spring water to drink. I shared with her that spring water can have too much

magnesium so she is giving them distilled for now.  She was able to get a one day job last week collating flyers. The bindery job doesn't start until next week. She has to call every morning to see when there is work. We have 75.00 toward rent, just need 75.00 more by Tuesday. Please keep praying she gets a break on a long term position and place that her five kitties can stay.

Now Fur the Wordy Parts... by Katie The Mom and Katie Kitty Too

Pearl went to her mew foster home Sunday evening.. Pearl started out in the front bedroom downstairs where all kitties get acquainted first. There she was welcomed by two kittens named Hazel and Blake and two adult kitties named Pork Chop and Mystique. Pearl had loads of fun getting to know Hazel, Blake and Porkchop. 

She met Hazel first and growled a bit, yet then started playing with her from under the big chair. Then Blake came in and she liked him immediately. Then big ginger Pork Chop wanted in the bedroom. He thought Pearl was interesting and kept his distance at first. Pearl sniffed his nose and went back to playing with the Blake and Hazel. Some words from her mew foster Mommy, Dawn:

 "(Sunday Night) Pearl slept in and under the oversized chair that no one had claimed yet. Blake slept in Pearl's carrier. They didn't move until Hazel came in with me (Monday morning)."

"(Yesterday) Mystique decided Pearl is okay to be with. Mystique likes the piano to lay on. Both were napping (Pearl on or under the big chair) when I left for my hospice visit. Pearl came out and visited with my husband. You sit down and wait for Pearl to come see you. She decided not to stay outside the bedroom... made to the doorway (when) Mystique joined her in the room... Pearl turned around and went back in the bedroom. It was funny. She thought about it."

"At my house she definitely isn't alone. She still likes the "new" big chair she claimed to sleep under. When you sit down you see her white nose poke out to sniff and then her face to watch you. Once she is out, she checks everything and everyone out and then runs and plays. My cats play hard and then nap a lot."

In other Mewz: Silvia and her Kitties want to thank all the folks who helped pay for rent and stuffs this week. Not only did moneys come in to pay rent, enough monies came in to pay insurance on the car and to pay for the phone this month.  

There are roofers working on the motel roof for several weeks... Natasha is too scared of all the noise and isn't eating well... Please keep her in your purrz.


Silvia will calling a temp service on Friday to see if how many people they need for a seasonal bindery job. They are hiring several people and Silvia has done this sort of work before. Please purr that this is the break we have been waiting on... Because the next step without a job is to find all five cats (6 years old) a foster home and for Silvia to live with her Aunt who is allergic to cats.

Some of you remember Jolly, Nana's neighbor's cat who went OTRB because he contracted a fast acting leukemia? After he went to Pet Traditions, Katiez Furry Mewz readers helped to pay half of his urn. Well just found out that his Mommy has not been able to make payments on the urn. About 92.00 left when Pet Traditions called me on Monday. I was able to make a 25.00 payment, thanks to the kind folks who donated funds recently.  Leaves about 67.00 dollars... I have some funds coming in furry soon that should cover fur Jolly to come home.



Our family of fosters - still have two girls, Lulu and Annie May who need shots updated and spayed. The least cost will be about 75.00 each for the spay and 25.00 each for vaccinations. Not counting cost of bloodwork before hand that if we have to, will skip and just pray alot.  Dr. Jones is the bestest spay surgeon in town and she only charges 75.00. Will get their vaccinations from Dr. Johnson who gives us discounts and uses Care Credit.  Fur Lulu and Annie May, we needs an extra 150.00

And Lastly, but not leastly, us humans, Katie and Uncle Mike are worried about Lil Bootsie who doesn't want to eat much and truly needs her tooth pulled asap. She has a resorptive lesion and we thinks that may be why she not want to eat much - at least her is being furry picky about foods.  Dr. Johnson said it would be about 325.00 for the dental surgery... and that we don't have.  

We would even be thankful if we found a way to borrow the moneys and pay back gradually since I have lots of furniture that needs to be sold. Just need to get them moved out of storage and to a place where they can be displayed and picked up...

Thank you fur all your purrz and support.  Working on a furry goods Christmas gifts surprises fur all who helped Katiez Katz this year.  On my wish list is a better program than Picture It, even an older photo shop that doesn't charge monthly (Katie Mom gots geek power so older program am okay.)  Picture It only works with XP. Some Selfie Updates and Guero Needs Purrs

Hiya Folks, Pearl here... with my Selfies getting compared to the Baking Soda box again! 
 
I am growing lots - mostly longly - I iz a long waisted girl. I'm doing some betters - But still gots the sneezes. 
 And my poohs are purrty goods. Just had my last worm pill yesfurday... And I sometimes know what a litter box am.

I'm just confused. Katie Mom thinks it am my stuffed up nose. Dis here house that Katie Mom gots am all dusty with somthin called basement. Which means that Katie am looking hards fur me another place to go! And Katie's asthma getting worse and her coughing too. Dats Basement needs sealing...
I don't know what that means - cept Katie, me and da other kitties at her house gotta finds another place til dats basement gets done! 

So please keeps me in your purrz dats I can find another foster Mommy this week or my forever Mommy... I gotz to gets over this nasal stuffs!  - Thanks fur all your purrz,

Speaking of pawtraits... Katie Mom am getting dats Puppy ready to mail! Just gotta go gets a photo mailer to keeps it stiff during shipping... 






 





Da kitty that Silvia was feeding is safe and with a foster in Leon, Kansas! Katie Mom drove Black Kitty (not his name) to Augusta Kansas and the foster picked him up from there. Him gotted a vet checkup and all negative for FLV and FIV. Turned out he didn't have a wound on his face, just a bad rash from fleas. Mom say him am furry nice and getting along with other kitties. The foster lady tooks some photos but dey all looks funny... - cause him so long waisted! 

Maxwell Tigger's rash am getting betters!! Hooray! Now him can gets his Revolution fur dem mean ol fleas.

Well Uncle Mikes Car not gotted fixed! Them auto doctors couldn't find parts fur dat... and so insurance supposed to gives Mikes greenies and da car...Mike say he looks fur part himself den. Well we wents to picks up car and not put back together!!!!

What??? Now gotta waits to pick up car next week..and Mike has to pay for dem to puts it back together and fix the bumper frame?? Dats furry weird. Progressive peeples not tells the auto doctors dat Mike needs him car back together. They almost tooks title to car! Mike already tolds onda phone no he keeping dat how Mom gonna has sumpin to drive? then he go into office and they took the title... Mike say gimme dat!  Me think thats a lot folks needs the slappy award.  Well we trying to finds some catnips to come from all dis stuffs - but Uncle Mike not likes catnip... we lets you knows.

Katie Mom and Auntie Silvia applied to a research call center last week... they gonna be hiring 300 peeples to talk onda phone and ask folks questions.  It part time stuffs so thats goods fur Mom... and they gonna needs bilingual Spanish callers too.  Silvia applied for a housekeeping job yesfurday also. Please purr fur dats job pawsibilities.  But right now no rent fur Tuesday.

Well the next thing needs a lot of purrs... 
Even though Silvia cleaned and cleaned the room, Guero was found string and accidentally gotted stuck in his teeth and throat while everypawdy was sleeping. Silvia tooks him to vets yesfurday morning and the vet gotted the string out and gave him a shot fur inflamation. Yet after they gotted back home, Guero kept feeling likes dat string was still stuck in hims teeth and hims throat all itchy. He started gagging from the itchies and been throwing up yesferday. Silvia tried yogurt and pumpkin and Shannon Coons of us Three Coons hads a home remedy and she tried that too. Guero am eating a little this morning. Please purr dats hims tummy calms down today. Otherwise it back to the vets Monday and No more funds left to cover another check up and meds fur a tummy calmer (or an xray if there am more string in hims tummy.)

Katie Say dehrs more to talks bout... but weze tireds... time fur a morning nap and prayers fur stuffs and miracles to happen... likes having moneys fur a different smart phone that blogger will let us blog on so we can updates sooner!!!
