Hiya Furry peeples! I like chillin in a box - good place to hang out and watch the humans go by... Speeking of cats who like to chill, Katie Mom helped out with Catz Meow Transport this past weekend, to gets a kitty named Mustacchio from Iowa to hims mew home in Texas!

Here am Mustacchio chillin out in the rental car Katie Mom gotted for the journey cause our car am getting all wobbly when it am driven over 40mph.

Mustacchio am a young kitty with mild CH - Cerebellular Hypoplasia - a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that results in walking and balance problems.

Mr. Mustacchio knew he was different from other kitties. For one thing, he got to live in the house, instead of the barn! That made him feel special. He watched kitties walk from the window, and noticed they didn’t stagger around, like he did.

His human family saw he was special too and felt he needed to live inside and not out in the barn with the other farm cats. Unfortunately - a grandson was allergic, so they knew they would have to find him a good home.

They posted a video on the Cerebellar Hypoplasia Cats and Kittens Facebook page, and waited. Very soon a wonderful lady saw Mustacchio and knew he was her mew kitty! Her beloved Wobbles had died earlier this year and she wanted a new furry child to love. Volunteers helped Mustacchio get to hims furever home by driving different parts of the route.
 
And Mustacchio enjoyed the ride hanging out in hims hammock and sometimes sleeping on the way. Took two days of traveling to gets him to his mew Mommy. And Katie Mom was happy to be part of hims journey.

Guero and Ronnie - Thank You For Praying

Thank you so much for your purrz and prayers for Guero on Monday....

Because or your support, both Guero and his brother Ronnie were able to go to the vet Tuesday morning...

Guero had UTI and could not keep anything down - with diarrhea over the weekend...

And Ronnie was really sick too with upset stomach and fever - They are both doing much better this morning... Thanks to their vet visits.  And Guero has taken a liking to strawberry yogurt!

Turned out Mischievous Ronnie found something to bite into (Clear Eyes) - naughty boy. Silvia does her best to keep things from him and he hasn't gotten into anything in long time, but he is good at opening cabinets... He was still having hard time last night throwing up on empty stomach and curled up in a ball. Doctor had given him a combo shot of antibiotic and steroid yesterday morning.  Yesterday Evening Ronnie got a pill to reduce the stomach cramps.  Late into the night, he nibbled on some favorite food and kept it down!

Over the weekend Silvia took Guero to the ER and had to borrow funds from the motel owner - who still needs to be paid, about 400.00 dollars. She is working it off by cleaning rooms, but he only takes off about ten dollars a day - Silvia can't find a new place next year or look for real work until the motel owner is paid off.  If you can help Silvia and her cats - We are praying for work in the new year - economy is slowly getting better here in Wichita - going to take time - and costs double just to move into somewhere else.

We have been scrapping metal to raise funds, but have not been able to get enough in to save funds to move out of the motel, to pay the motel owner or cover other debts... And another environment with a real home would be so much better for Silvia and her babies, Mama Narcisca, Gordo, Guero, Ronnie and Sister Natasha. A real home would make it so much easier to keep the babies safe and things away from naughty Ronnie.

We still need to catch at least one more outdoor kitty at the motel. Her name is Chica and she hangs out on the window ledge or Silvia's room.  Her brother Chico may be harder to catch.  Chica is getting to where she lets Silvia touch her and pick her up.  

We are going to keep the You Caring fund up for Guero for now and add updates - Silvia and her babies have come so far - they don't want to give up now and wind up homeless .... Seriously if we can't move forward - all there is backwards - Silvia has no family - they have rejected this beautiful caring woman with such a caring heart and I will never understand why.

I am about 9 years old now. Here I am at Cat Hospital having my teeth checked a year ago September 2016. I had losted a tooth from a resorptive lesion. I really needed dental surgery to remove a tooth, but no moneys ever came in fur dat. (Bootsie at the vets) I am eating reel good now though Mom am going to gets me a checkup on my teefs.

ASAP GORDO MEWS SURGERY THIS MORNING

UPDATE: Gordo is out of surgery. He made it through, but he is very delicate right now and will need lots of monitoring for several weeks.  Please keep him in your prayers and help us keep him and his fur family from being homeless during this time... 

PRAYERS NEEDED RIGHT NOW  and Thank you for your purrz...GORDO IS IN SURGERY TO REMOVE HIS URETHRA this morning.

We took Gordo in to vet yesterday afternoon with urges to pee, yet his bladder was empty. 

Then Silvia woke me up this morning, pounding on my door - She had just been to the vets and they said Gordo's bladder was swelling up with urine, becoming hard - and vet was recommending surgery.  His health is not as good as Guero's when he had PU surgery last year.  Only good thing is since last week he has gained a pound - over 9 pounds now vs 8 pounds. Yet he should be 12 or 13.

Gordo is now in surgery this morning to remove his urethra - he has been battling for too long with cystitis and this morning, he was painfully full and could not go - same as two weeks ago when he had to go to ER and get catheter (and we couldn't afford after surgery meds that would have made that less painful) 

Gordo has been eating canned food alot, including Hills - We tried D-Mannose and L-methionine and Prozasin to keep from doing surgery.... now he is having surgery. See More about Gordo Gordo Needs Purrz.

Surgery is 600.00 - There was 100 in the Pet Funds bank account for Gordo already (for new tests) and then we borrowed another 180 to put 280 down (math updated Feb 9th). The rest of the bill still needs paid (and money borrowed returned).

Please if anyone can call Arapahoe and ask for Gordo Espinosa - Silvia's account - (316) 262-6491.  Just checked Paypal and a loving friend sent one hundred. We still need 220 more (math updated Feb 9th - the paperwork we have is just showing how much has been paid already).

Silvia and I spoke to another cat owner last night that all five of her boys had PU urethra removal surgery and they were eating Purina Naturals. Silvia has been feeding her cats Purina Naturals for years until last year her cats began having pee problems - maybe there is a connection... - just two fur families, Silvia and another family in a kitty kat group on FB - would take more to point to Purina, yet I know their food quality has gone way down very recently (that's why my cats no longer eating Purina) and the regulations on pet food are not being followed by many companies... And now another friend on Facebook just mentioned that she read somewhere about Purina Naturals being an aggravator in UTI issues.... OMC. When I find the link will post it here. Hi I'm Gordo. I was born January 18 2010. I'm a handsome guy who loves my mom and fur family. 
 
Here are his Mom's Silvia's words from last night in a post on FB:

Gordo has been going through a change in weight..bladder UTI this past few months. UTI have played major role right now. He's on cans drinking lots. Two weeks ago had Vet ER after hours check him had been plugged.Got catheter and next day my vet put him on Baytril.

He sorta improved but days later had a steroid shot. He did fine for few days. I just recently started D-Mannose, a natural sugar that cleans urinary tract line and L-Methionine to Ph balance to clear any crystal formation.

Dr prescribed prazosin pill to relax bladder. He is eating his Hill cans again. Yet with all this he starts his urge of frequency trying to pee wont release urine but vomits to pee. Right now Gordo has urges frequency not peeing. Just spots.

I've done all what Dr said and nothing is helping... I don't know what to do. I love my boy and I can't have kids... I know Gordo is in pain... Gordo wants to continue with life. 

Dr Mahoney with Arapahoe vet clinic is treating him. Can Gordo get some Angels to call in to continue being with his mom to Arapahoe vet (316) 262-6491 under Gordo Espinosa. Gordo would like to say thank you to cat followers and pray for him. He has 9 lives and wants his 9 lives to continue...

 Updates and Stuffs:

Chiquita's owie is getting betters - the swelling is going down. She is eating well. Last weekend, when she ventured out of the kitty kennel apartment, she freaked out and ran into walls and tried to climb up the corners in the living room. On top of my needs list are refills of Feliway.  Last night and today, she came out of the apartment and rubbed on my legs, yet any sudden noises scare her and she is back in the carrier in the kennel.  Since she is not used to going in litter boxes, before I let her do too much venturing, I will place several boxes around my little bungalow when she is out. I will pick them up for when one of the other kitties is having their turn outside their rooms... 

Wish my foster girls were more the Mama types and liked other kitties, but not the case.  Angel is afraid of other cats (she thinks she is a dog)... Little Peach is a Diva and wants all the attention; My Molly and daughter Ellie May are inclusive to themselves (Ellie May had a bad reaction to Advantage Flea meds where she couldn't process being touched or smells normally. Took two years of behavior modification for Ellie to act almost normally to touching, yet she still slaps from strange smells)

How sum ever, there is a Cat Fancy Show day on my birthday February 5th (and 6th) - I am going to register Miss Peach in the Household Category and hope she behaves herself enough to find her furever home... she hisses at other kitties...yet is good at being handled. Crossing paws.  I will buy a small cage for her to stay in during the show... Never done this before... going to be interesting.

In other Mewz: Have not Caught Chiquita's Mom Molly yet and looks like she may have already got herself in a pickle with two boys chasing her... I am going to try to see if she will go in a cage versus a trap - then will come the fun to attempt to get her from cage to trap to get spayed at KHS. Otherwise may have to get her spayed at a clinic that handles ferals and doesn't care if a trap or not.  

I am having concerns about Molly... not sure how bonded She is now to her daughter. Molly did not come near daughter when she was in a carrier by motel room the night I tried to get her to go in trap.

If Molly can get fixed, she may have to be returned back to the area - she has never been inside and I don't have a room to keep her while she learns about the indoors...  

I may be able to hold her long enough to get her to same home with Chiquita - depends - the gal who wants to give Chiqui a mew home is three hours away and her experience with outdoor partial ferals is limited.  I am concerned Chiquita may regress from her progress with people if her Mom is too upset. I have had that happen before.  Too many questions... I may have to rethink a home for both of them. More updates on Silvia's Molly later this week.

Silvia hurt her back very badly a few months ago and she is still in pain, finding it hard to get much done... especially since she lost her contacts. I am hoping to help her get a set of contacts as she can't even see to drive. She has a doctor's appointment today.  We were able to get her rent this week, working on next week - have some metal to recyclers and the auction items on my blog - and still raising funds for Molly's spay.  Still needing to raise at least 62.00 for Molly's spay and 150 for next week's rent.   

Silvia is exhausted and in too much pain... the fracture in her tail bone will take months to heal well.  She is asking me to find a home(s) for her cats - the only offer so far was a 6 high by 6 x 4 feet cage in a shop (!?!) ... fine for kittens and maybe one laid back cat - not for five cats who sometimes need medication and are already stressing out from the boy cats chasing Silvia's Molly. - This morning Silvia told me her kids picked fights with each other from a boy cat spraying the motel room window.

Our Fearsome Hero Flash Returns and Gordo at the Vets

Last Sunday Gordo, One of Silvia's Kitties was not feeling well at all. He had a mild fever, would hardly eat or drink and his pee was foamy.

His brother Ronnie lay near Gordo all day to comfort him.

Early Monday morning, Brother Mike and I took Silvia and Gordo to see his vet.  

Thankfully there was some credit on Silvia's vet account and Mike and I had some money to spare...

Checked his temp and swabbed him... Definitely had UTI. Got Antibiotics and a shot for swelling. Gordo is starting to feel better. He is eating and drinking more water. Silvia and I don't know why poor kid keeps getting UTI's every few months.

Updates on Guero and Mama Narcisca: Although Guero was holding his pee for several hours last week, he started going normally, thank goodness, but he has trouble figuring out where the box is without his boy parts and sometimes he has trouble with all the fur growing where fur did not grow before. He is still susceptible to UTI's - Thank Catness that he is doing well for now. 

Mama Narcisca is being bothered by itchy skin and is pulling her hair out near her tail - could still be mean fleas. KFM was able to get Advantage for Silvia's kids a few weeks ago, yet the fleas here have been resisting the chemical in Advantage. Looking at other safe alternatives... More about that in another post.
 
(We loves Dezi and Raena so furry much! About the products Bengal and Biospot that Dezi and Raena suggested in last post's comments - Each flea treatment uses a different chemical to kill the fleas, some chemicals are more dangerous in how they work than others... Hartz, Sargent and Pet Armor use the worst chemicals with the most possibility of hurting or killing the animal that it is supposed to protect. Unfortunately, Biospot is not natural and contains the same ingredients as Hartz: Etofenprox and S-Methoprene, which caused asthmatic reaction in one of my cats. These parasiticides have caused seizures and killed many dogs and cats all across the nation. Several vets in my town have records of animals dying or had to be PTS due reactions to Etofenprox and S-Methoprene. I am thankful that Dezi and Raena are not part of those statistics. Not all animals react, but too many - that if humans were being harmed these two chemicals would be banned. Bengal may be safe enough to use outside the home, as long as there are no other cats out there... Flash's adventure at the Vets Continued from Last Post. Flash stayed at the Cat Motel at Broadway Animal Clinic over the weekend...

Flash gives me the Bionic Flashy Eye... you can't keep me from saving the worlds!

Mike and I picked him up Monday afternoon. (The vet lets Flash's Daddy, Mike's neighbor keep a running tab. So we did not have to pay the bill yet.)


Flash Meyowled the whole time back to Uncle Mike's house "Why you holds me in carrier?!? Me must saves the world from evilness..." - since his hero powers were no match fur the special carrier we haz to use to keep him from going faster than the speed of light... MOL.

He is staying in his bathroom studio apartment with Iron Man (toilet) until his ear heals and the weather is warmer...

He was running a fever Monday night and showing signs of a mild UTI... refusing to eat.

Yesterday afternoon Silvia and I took him to he vet.
He received inflammation and antibiotic combo shot.

Cost was only 45.00. The vet waived the exam fee. He is eating today. Purray!!

Hoping to get all the outside kitties safe so Silvia can move out of motel and plan for trip to California. Thank goodness the weather is only cool 50 to 60 degrees. Tonight Silvia and I are going to try and catch Raccoon Kitty. Silvia likes to call him Squirly for his cute squirrel like tail.

I am making a place for him to stay until he can go to his forever home in Winfield... 

Silvia picked him up last night and he kissed her forehead. He is just soo afraid of carriers. Going to try to put him in a big kennel that's easy to drop him inside. 

Siamese Kitty

Molly is more wild and too smart fur her own good... Her daughter the Siamese actually has too short legs...like a munchkin kitty.  Silvia was able to pet the Siamese kitten recently, but Molly swiped at Silvia for touching her daughter.

Silvia thinks that Molly maybe pregnant again. Her kittens never seem to survive.. except for one or two at a time...  Hoping after we catch Squirly, aka Ricky Raccoon, we can catch Molly's daughter. Molly will be hard to trap -  she is too leary of  cages and traps, but worth a try.

Sadly, we may have lost Swirly. He was a wanderer and thought he could cross the street anytime... still purring  that the kitty the car dealer found was not him - yet chances are that Swirly has gone OTRB. 

More mewz later...  Still getting over this bad cold. upper respiratory... taking antibiotics and stuff.

Hi everyone, Katie Kitty Too Here, with Wednesday post before Thanksgiving.

The Mom am furry sick - her came down with yucky sore throat and sore glands yesfurday evening and running a fever too. This morning her has upset tummy.

Uncle Mike bought thermometer last night that not works! All showed was 98 - And Mom had the chills. If you go buys thermometers - get digital one... don't buy dis one by Geratherm - might not work. Hard to hold in a humans mouth - too wide! And furry hard to read....

Mama Narcisca is doing better after being attacked by Molly the feral cat outside.  Her always lets her sons and daughter eat first though. She is so much smaller than they are. She will lick their heads while they eat and then she will eat after they are done.

Auntie Silvia and Katie Mom are want to catch outside cats that come to eat, especially the two furry nice boys, Swirly and Ricky. Swirly has not showed up for several days. We hope he has found a home to loves him. Ricky Raccoon came by last night, but was scared off by Silvia's car alarm acting weird. We have a furry nice lady that will take Ricky and Swirly and she could have taken Ricky last night. We will has to waits another day.  Two days ago Auntie Silvia's car drivers door decided to lock and unlock all by itself and then start alarm. Come to find out the remote thingy was burnt out... Auntie Silvia doesn't use the remote thingy so her didn't know what was going on.  Another motel resident was able to make it stop, but he wants 100 dollars for all the work he did.  Auntie Silvia am applying fur several jobs this week, yet we don't has 100 dollars to gives dat guy fur the car. He should have said that to begin instead of afterwards. Uncle Mike am going to try and see if he can work on the CV joints. If Auntie Silvia gets a job with cleaning service her needs to has a car to go from house to house.

Nana's Bibi has not gone to doctor yet. Her hid yesfurday as soon as Katie Mom came in Nana's house...

Her still needs blood work done. Katie made appointment fur today, yet now Katie Mom am sick.  We hope that there am a doctor on Friday or Saturday we can take her too... Katie wanted to takes Nana out to eats tomorrow fur Thanksgiving... so please purr her feels better furry soon. Right now her am furry dizzy and after her helps me with the mewz, Katie Mom am going back to bed.
