The Mom got her Valentine flowers today from the Dad Purrson...  The flower shop was too busy yesfurday to send them. The mom just wanted roses... yet look at all them other purrty flowers and lilies!

Mom doesn't know where to put this big vase!

Yesfurday, Jolly's bill was finally paid and he went home to be with hims family...

He went to Heaven Furever last year on May 28th. Only three years old. I did not get to meet Jolly. I don't really like boys, yet Jolly was a furry good boy who always wanted outside. He was too nice a kitty and gotted beat up by an unknown cat who had a furry bad disease called Leukemia. His mom had not gotten Jolly that shot... furry sad.  You can reads more about Jolly Needs Purrz.

Katie Mom and Uncle Mike got a whole truckful of appliances to recycle this week (have to take motors out first -Kat) and then this weekend we haz a trashing pawty! kinda sorta - Katie Mom and Uncle Mike going to take down an aluminum building. I don't know what aluminum am must be likes gold or sumpin.

Now Fur the Wordy Parts... by Katie The Mom and Katie Kitty Too

Pearl went to her mew foster home Sunday evening.. Pearl started out in the front bedroom downstairs where all kitties get acquainted first. There she was welcomed by two kittens named Hazel and Blake and two adult kitties named Pork Chop and Mystique. Pearl had loads of fun getting to know Hazel, Blake and Porkchop. 

She met Hazel first and growled a bit, yet then started playing with her from under the big chair. Then Blake came in and she liked him immediately. Then big ginger Pork Chop wanted in the bedroom. He thought Pearl was interesting and kept his distance at first. Pearl sniffed his nose and went back to playing with the Blake and Hazel. Some words from her mew foster Mommy, Dawn:

 "(Sunday Night) Pearl slept in and under the oversized chair that no one had claimed yet. Blake slept in Pearl's carrier. They didn't move until Hazel came in with me (Monday morning)."

"(Yesterday) Mystique decided Pearl is okay to be with. Mystique likes the piano to lay on. Both were napping (Pearl on or under the big chair) when I left for my hospice visit. Pearl came out and visited with my husband. You sit down and wait for Pearl to come see you. She decided not to stay outside the bedroom... made to the doorway (when) Mystique joined her in the room... Pearl turned around and went back in the bedroom. It was funny. She thought about it."

"At my house she definitely isn't alone. She still likes the "new" big chair she claimed to sleep under. When you sit down you see her white nose poke out to sniff and then her face to watch you. Once she is out, she checks everything and everyone out and then runs and plays. My cats play hard and then nap a lot."

In other Mewz: Silvia and her Kitties want to thank all the folks who helped pay for rent and stuffs this week. Not only did moneys come in to pay rent, enough monies came in to pay insurance on the car and to pay for the phone this month.  

There are roofers working on the motel roof for several weeks... Natasha is too scared of all the noise and isn't eating well... Please keep her in your purrz.


Silvia will calling a temp service on Friday to see if how many people they need for a seasonal bindery job. They are hiring several people and Silvia has done this sort of work before. Please purr that this is the break we have been waiting on... Because the next step without a job is to find all five cats (6 years old) a foster home and for Silvia to live with her Aunt who is allergic to cats.

Some of you remember Jolly, Nana's neighbor's cat who went OTRB because he contracted a fast acting leukemia? After he went to Pet Traditions, Katiez Furry Mewz readers helped to pay half of his urn. Well just found out that his Mommy has not been able to make payments on the urn. About 92.00 left when Pet Traditions called me on Monday. I was able to make a 25.00 payment, thanks to the kind folks who donated funds recently.  Leaves about 67.00 dollars... I have some funds coming in furry soon that should cover fur Jolly to come home.



Our family of fosters - still have two girls, Lulu and Annie May who need shots updated and spayed. The least cost will be about 75.00 each for the spay and 25.00 each for vaccinations. Not counting cost of bloodwork before hand that if we have to, will skip and just pray alot.  Dr. Jones is the bestest spay surgeon in town and she only charges 75.00. Will get their vaccinations from Dr. Johnson who gives us discounts and uses Care Credit.  Fur Lulu and Annie May, we needs an extra 150.00

And Lastly, but not leastly, us humans, Katie and Uncle Mike are worried about Lil Bootsie who doesn't want to eat much and truly needs her tooth pulled asap. She has a resorptive lesion and we thinks that may be why she not want to eat much - at least her is being furry picky about foods.  Dr. Johnson said it would be about 325.00 for the dental surgery... and that we don't have.  

We would even be thankful if we found a way to borrow the moneys and pay back gradually since I have lots of furniture that needs to be sold. Just need to get them moved out of storage and to a place where they can be displayed and picked up...

Thank you fur all your purrz and support.  Working on a furry goods Christmas gifts surprises fur all who helped Katiez Katz this year.  On my wish list is a better program than Picture It, even an older photo shop that doesn't charge monthly (Katie Mom gots geek power so older program am okay.)  Picture It only works with XP. Will be testing the magnet sheets on the big Epson Printer furry soon. In the meantime, please checks out the Purple Kattery Auction Blog - Lots more stuffs to be added soon.

Flash Vet Selfie, Silvia and Remembering Jolly

Hiya Folks, Katie Kittty Too... 

Guess I'm off strike fur now. Bootsie can stay with me in the computer room as long as I get first dibs on Mom's lap. After all, I don't roll around on the keyboard like Bootsie does.

We haz stuffoms to share with you all:

Uncle Mike's neighbor, Dirk am outta da hospital. He fell about a week ago and couldn't get up, when he finally called Mom on Sunday. Uncle Mike helped get the locked gate open and the door open so paramedics could come in and helps him get in a stretcher for the ambulance. Come to find out, reason he fell was dehydration and then his kidneys stopped working right. He came home on Thursday. His knee is still swollen from falling, but his kidneys are working better. Dirk doesn't has any knee bones left so furry hard to stand up, much less fall down.

All hims kitties, indoor and outdoor, were furry glad to see him. We thought Boomer, a white Mama cat had disappeared when ER was there with the door wide open, but Boomer had snuck back into the house! There are four kittens we hopes to get photos of soon...2 white, 1 black and 1 grey

Speaking of Dirk's kitties, Flash the Hero cat got himself in a bit of trouble after a long night of fighting crime and evil dog corporations... or maybe it was just a fight with George the Feral cat about who gets to eat first at our lovely patio cafe.  Flash isn't telling - Heroes never tell, ya know. Well Uncle Mike and Katie Mom tooks Flash to the vets Friday. Flash's ear was all swollen from a puncture wound. They kept him over night to drain the wound and put meds in it. He gots some antibiotics and a steroid. Then Katie and Mike picked him up on Caturday. The swelling has gone down, but not all the way.  Katie Mom keeps an eye on him cause if it doesn't go down, he will has to go backs to vet.

Max at the vets...

My broffur Max is doing much better - his neck ouchie is healing ups well... He is taking pred for several weeks.  Bootsie... well she's a good girl, I just likes my space.... Bootsie is doing well, her hair is starting to comes back.  

Pearl is still taking antibiotics... and... her nasal passages are finally clearing up!!! Hooray! Now if she would just stops attacking feets! Katie Mom tried a little water spray today - will keep trying that til Pearl finds sumpin else to plays with! We'll keep you posted about when her finally goes to foster home...

Now fur some furry serious stuffoms... Auntie Silvia did not get that job at U.S. Tool a week ago. Mom am heartbroken cause she almost got that job - her phone shoulda been working and Mom coulda helped get it paid on time...(three kitties were sicks and Mom has to do almost all the looking after us and helping Nana -Katie's Mom- too.)  Most of Silvia's kitties are to getting over the Salmonella okay, save Ronnie who is running a mild fever.  Silvia put in a bid to clean two different houses yesfurday, they haven't called back yet. And then she got a call today for another home, but it am in a nearby town and no gas to go there...

If Auntie Silvia doesn't gets a job soon, the only place fur her to go is an Aunt's house and that Aunt can't have kitties around... Silvia's babies that's what Katie Mom and Auntie Silvia keeps fighting fur - cause they has nowhere to go.

If we coulds gets a home fur the kitties at Mom's house, Auntie Silvia and her cats could stay there... but that means finding some one to handle Elly May, a special needs kitty who had a bad reaction to Advantage Flea Meds. Her brain couldn't process touch and smell right after that and now she slaps at everything... Elly May has to has behavioral training evfurry day just to let someone touch her.

Just to keeps the motel room fur another weeks we needs 125.00 - that doesn't count Silvia borrowing from the motel owner for 10.00 to take Ronnie and Narcisca to vet.

We am asking fur the kitties sake - while we looks fur a backup plan of a place for Narcisca, Natasha, Ronnie, Gordo and Guero to go.

Guero, Jolly and Flash Updates.

Hiya Internet Folks, Auntie Katie here with a furry pretty caturday art just fur Guero...using vintage setting at Be Funky Editor

Finally able to share a post with you... Very long and exhausting week, and not done yet.

In the comments from last post, I left an update using my mobile phone, until I could get on the computer and share some furry good mewz so far.

Comment from yesterday: "Guero was able to go to vet today and you won't believe what was causing the problem (right now). Everyone was sure that the beginning of a restriction was taking place... More next post. Purrs from Katie Kat"
 
Here is the rest of the story:  Earlier this week, Silvia called the vet and told Guero's symptoms. He was licking himself alot and scooting across the carpet. The amount he left in the litter box was much smaller than before. He used to go twice a day, now only once. Last weekend he threw up food and bits of clay litter from licking himself and wasn't  interested in eating. Vet told Silvia that his symptoms sounded like his opening was getting restricted. Surgery to fix opening would be 200.00 and vet needed money in advance of bringing Guero in to be checked, because may need surgery right away.

Tuesday, Guero was bloated and didn't go for a long time. Silvia was very worried, but couldn't get him to the vet that day. Money wasn't there and I was helping my neighbor take Flash to the vet.  On Wednesday afternoon, I checked his bladder and it wasn't completely empty. Yet Guero seemed fine otherwise.

Then a very caring sweet person on Facebook called and donated money to vet for Guero, enough for surgery. To make long story short, Silvia took Guero in Friday afternoon.

Silvia 's car still needs valve cover gaskets (80.00), and since I was helping mom, she asked another friend to take her to vet. (We were going Friday morning, but we missed the vet and he didn't come back until yesterday afternoon to help other vet with patients).  

Yet to everyone's surprise, Guero's opening was not closing up, at least not now. Thank God! Very common in Perineal Urethrostomy (Please Save Guero Updates) for restriction to occur. You're not going to believe what was happening...

Fur was growing where no fur had grown before!! All that stubble and mew sensation was making him itchy. He was licking himself to stop the itchiness and irritating his tummy with the clay on hims behind, which made him throw up his food. They checked his urine and no UTI! Can you imagine Silvia's relief... and the funds will stay at the vets and can be used for Guero if a real restriction takes place...or his siblings if needed. Hallelujah fur good mewz!!!

Enough funds came in to pay for half of Jolly's bill of 185.00, which let Pet Traditions be able to cremate and place Jolly's remains in his urn. Another friend who loved Jolly is checking to see if he can pay the rest to help Jolly's Mom and Dad. Will let you all know as soon as I have more Mewz...

Update on Flash...He loves his nursing staff, but he is a cranky patient and wants back outside or have his nursing staff cuddle him all day...

Flash's cut is not healing as fast as first indicated... looks like another visit for Monday to his vet this time. Hoping he just needs an antibiotic shot to get the healing going better. Please keep Flash in your purrz... (see Flash Posts)

Flash's Daddy am going to watch him the rest of the weekend and take him to the vet on Monday. Flash's Daddy am also asking for purrs for kitties who are missing and may have been abducted by a neighbor.

Mostly Wordless Flash at the Vets and Please Save Guero

Hurt his paw.... and is stuck in the bathroom and can't race Zoom (the bad guy) ... at least til his paw heals.  He is yowling in purrtest in typical hero fashion: "I haz to saves the worlds!" 
"You can't saves the worlds til you gets betters"
Vet Cost: 25.00 for exam (thanks for discount!) No fever, thank goodness and just using Vetericyn to aid the healing purrcess.

Please keep Guero in your purrz and prayers. Beautiful Guero that had life saving surgery earlier this year (Perineal Urethrostomy, see Please Save Guero Updates) is furry sick... He is not able to pass all his urine and he is not keeping his food down.

His incision has become restricted and he needs to be seen as soon as possible. Cost of re-opening his urethra is $200.00 /

Jolly's Last Selfie

Two and a Half Year Old Jolly went Over The Rainbow Bridge yesterday....  


Back in April, KFM helped save Nana's neighbor's cat Jolly from a terrible abscess from a bite wound... (see Jolly Needs Purrs)  His wound healed just fine.  Then recently, he began rapidly losing weight and refusing to eat. Yesterday, took Jolly to Doctor Johnson of Willowbend Animal Hospital, where he was diagnosed with Leukemia and liver failure. Jolly's human mom and dad and their two daughters arrived after the diagnoses to help Jolly go home and tell him goodbye...

KFM helped pay for the vet visit... Jolly needs funds to pay for his urn, paw print, nose print and clippings, which will be at least $185.00. The Memorial Service is now called Pet Traditions (formerly with Pet Angel) - 2260 N Ridge Rd Suite 120 Wichita, Kansas 67205 (316) 651-6333. At the moment, Jolly's Mom and I were told that they prefer Katiez Furry Mewz to gather the donations for security/privacy reasons.

Sunday Sermons with Katie Kitty Too
Please gets out your bibles... Todays reading am from Psalm 36:6 cause me wants to tells you more abouts how God so Loved the World like it talks about in John 3:16 and verse 17 too. We talked about dats on May 15

and how us pets don't know how not to choose God, we just knows him. See God gave humans a soul that can choose, but Him loved the worlds too much and so animals just has spirits that knows and loves the Creator (who am Ceiling Cat to us kitties) cause that's how we am made.



Now what Psalm 36:6 says, is dis - "O Lord you preserve man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love." 

Katie Mom toles me that word preserve there comes from the Hebrew word "Yasha" which means "save," "deliver from moral troubles" and "give victory over."  And dats da same word that am where Yeshua comes froms... dats Jesus original name in Hebrew... The name Yeshua am two words put together, Yah and Shua for God and Saves. The verb Yasha am from the same two Hebrew words, God and Saves.  So dat how me knows I am preserved, saved and am going to Heavens... just like Jolly who went to Heaven yesterday.  

Please keeps Jolly's family in your purrz while they miss their sweet boy... Jolly, the Escape Artist loved hims family furry much. Me heard him say one word afore leaping over the Rainbow Bridge, "Happy!" Me thinks him loves Heaven already, cause he always wanted to run outside, rain or shine... now him has forever grass and sunny days...

So dearest kitties and doggies, please have your humans remember this verse in Psalms cause dats furry impawtant...  Psalm 36:6 - "O Lord you preserve man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love."
