Chiquita needs a checkup on her wound - swollen underneath the skin. Otherwise she is doing very well.

Haven't caught Molly the Mom yet... Freezing temps last night.... she has boys following her now... a friend of mine who has a local no kill sanctuary is going to let me try a different trap or I may have to buy a kennel cage and see if she will eat in that - use the string attached to the door method.

Didn't catch Molly last night. She is very smart... Brought Daughter in carrier and set her outside the trap.  Molly got to see daughter, yet didn't want to go in trap, even with her favorite food.

At one point Molly jumped up on Silvia's car and made eye contact with me while I sat in my car. I talked to her without rolling down the window. She is very smart. When I talked about daughter, she looked at the trap. She saw Chiquita go in when I caught her last week to get spayed.  Then Molly jumped down and went to the window to talk to Ronnie. I got the feeling that Molly wanted to stay with Silvia and Ronnie - keep things as is - not go in trap to be with her daughter.  Yet Molly still needs spayed; Silvia and her indoor babies still need a better home...


More cats are showing up at Silvia's window  - there is a colony a few blocks away - that may be where they are coming from... Silvia won't feed, just feed Molly. Sooo cold last night in the car with no heater running. Going to get colder this weekend, making it harder to catch her for spay this weekend.

Will try again tonight. Chiquita was quiet when back to my house while I cleaned her litter box. She cried a lot when I put her back in kennel - yet she let me love and pet her and hold her in my lap for longest time.  She wants people. Molly her Mom knows Silvia but is afraid of everyone else.

Chiquita is a docile kitty who by her own disposition had to be saved from the outdoor world - I don't know very many cats captured at 7 months old who take to cuddling so quickly. Molly is more street wise and has survived outdoors for more than six years. I am praying what to do - purr-haps Molly and Chiquita are not meant to go together - yet what to do for Molly?

P.S. - Silvia texted me this morning that Guero's UTI may be back...she's waiting until her break light is fixed to take him in (bought a new light last night but may be connection issue) I can't wait to try the L-methionine for Gordo and Guero.

Wednesday Am Full of Purrz Pleaze

Stress UTI - Steroid Shot.

Ronnie needed Cerenia shot and nail trim.

Will be getting L-Methionine or D-Mannose for Gordo's stress UTI.  For Ronnie, finding out how to keep Cerenia on hand. He loves getting into things and upsetting his tummy. Keep them healthy and save on vet bills. Gordo only 35.00. Ronnie was 75 and used up funds to get Molly spayed this Saturday.

I can not get Molly in to be spayed this week until Saturday. She didn't show up last night or this morning.  I am so worried for her. All because she did not get in to be spayed last Saturday. She was still searching for her daughter and may have gotten in a trap easier.

Please pray that I will still get her trapped for her spay on Saturday.  Still need 62.00 for her spay. I can get voucher for her to help with 10.00.
Need 50.00 more.

Silvia wants to thank everyone for saving her babies and keeping her and her cats from being homeless all year. You all have been such a blessing... To say THANK YOU, she is working with me to get my non profit organization going that helps pets and pet owners in need, doing much needed clerical work. Yet she can't work for me if she and her babies have no place to go!! Please consider collecting aluminum cans and taking to your nearest recycler. Every small amount will help Silvia pay her rent... and I need to pay her rent today.

Still looking for another place for Silvia and her kitties - A friend asked a friend with rental properties - all full right now. I will check with another friend who lives in duplex to find out about empty one.

Gordo Needs More Purrz Selfies

Taken just before his last Vet Visit for UTI

Gordo am going back to the vet with UTI today or tomorrow. Will update with Mew selfies after vet visit.

Poor Gordo keeps getting recurring UTI. He has been having problems going all weekend.

May be taking him to ER this afternoon or early morning to his vet. Depending how he is doing... He has been going but was very painful yesterday.

ER will start at 110.00 - unless their assistance program has funds.
 His vet keeps relying on Convenia and Prednisone too much as a quick fix. Hard on the liver.

Update on Chiquita - she is doing well, but misses her Mommy and hates being  confined in the big kennel Apartment. I don't have a room free for her to stay in and this is best way to keep her from hurting herself while she heals. Please purr that I find a place for her and Molly this week asap, then I can trap and spay Molly and get them both to the safe haven of a cat loving purrson. -Katie.

Chiquita am still learning about the indoor world and wants to leave her kennel apartment... yet she is still healing and needs to not exert herself.  Very docile for a feral baby. 

She will let me hold her, cries about it yet purrs and purrs to calm herself.  She ate from my fingers today and then ate from a plate in my lap.

Last night Molly got in the carrier Silvia was washing. Good sign - Molly wants to be where ever Chiqui might be.

Please purr that we catch Mama Molly before Molly has more babies.  I need to find somewhere for both girls to stay in an enclosed warm garage, room in a foster, office in a hardware store that takes cats - ASAP...

Silvia is still recovering from her back injury and needs healing prayers. She is getting better slowly. We have 70.00 toward rent for next week - just need about 80.00 more. 

With only Molly to catch and get spayed and find a place with her daughter, time for a new place for Silvia and her five babies, time for a year of miracles.
