Foster Mama Cat and Kitten Vet Checkups

 Hiya Furry Friends.

My last human called me Bo Jangles... I am about one year old and my son, Mickey is just four months old. We are being looked after by Katie until Friday the 12th, when we get a 2nd chance at the good life at Cattails Rescue in Manhattan, Kansas.
  

This is our selfie from Caturday when we went to the vets to get a checkup. Mickey is enjoying the Feliway behind us... and he thought the flashy thing was going to go off again... We are waiting for Dr. Johnson to come see us.  Mickey has never been to the vet before and didn't know what to expect. I think he did very well for a beginner.
 


He got weighed... just barely 4 pounds. And I weighed almost ten pounds! I am a furry big girl.

Here we are getting a good checkup. Me first. My right ear has been bothering me alot... Sure enough, Doc said it was red and swollen. So he will have Katie put Tresaderm drops in that ear 2 to 3 times a day.

And Mickey has not been himself lately... not playing. Sneezing and some green stuff in his eyes. He is now taking Clavamox and eye ointment. Already feels more like playing. 
Our vet visit cost about $80.00. Katie used Care Credit. 



So how did we end up with Katie? About a week ago, Katie's metal scrapping friend's mother was told by her landlord that we had to go outside in freezing temperatures or lose her home!! That was our last human who befriended us... she had taken us in from her sister who couldn't care for us very well, yet our human couldn't handle us very much because of allergies.  I like people and catnip. My son Mickey is learning that humans can be very good too. He Loves bouncy balls and lots of dangly toys.

On Friday, we will take a long two hour trip and get fixed, shots and will be fostered with Cattails of Kansas. Please purr fur us on our journey. And if you can donate toward our bill or for gas money on Friday, you would be helping us on our mew journey; a second chance at forever love.

Auntie Silvia and her fur family, including Guero and Natasha want to wish you a Happy Mew Year...

Silvia and her kitties have been in the cold for almost a whole week with the heater in the motel room not working. Three cats have been sick because of the cold... sniffing, runny eyes, won't eat. Natasha has been wheezing.  Been 30 degrees in their room.

Today a heater was found -  Money had to be borrowed - hundred dollars...

Please pray this heater keeps everyone warm, that the sick kitties get better and that Katie Mom and Auntie Silvia can get the outdoor kitties, Chica and Chico caught so they can be warm too. We are purring to pay back money owed asap and that there will be enough funds for vet visits in the Mew Year...next week.

Meowry Christmas Eve Purrz Fur Gordo and Miracle Stuff

Hiya everyfurry one on Christmas Eve and stuffs
Chiquita helping Mom blog again. We haz Sunday Selfie photos from Gordo at the Vets Last night...

We know lots of cats and dogs gets their posts done the night before...
Katie Mom and Auntie Silvia were in the Vet Emergency Hospital with Gordo late last night.
The cost was $239.00 that needs repaid... If you can helps with that, plz paypal to laugh_safely at yahoo dot come. thanks so much.

He had a urethra removal surgery over a year ago and sometimes he gets UTI. Gordo got an antibiotic and a pain meds and will see his usual vet after Christmas.

We are furry worried about Gordo. He eats good, but lost seven pounds over last two years... He is only 8 1/2 pounds when he should be 10 or 11. He had blood tests run and thyroid levels are on border of hyperthyroid, blood sugar ok. ER doctor said could be chronic mild urinary infections that go undetected. Auntie Silvia tells me my cousin Gordo gotted furry sick as little boy and almost didn't make it... we don't know if that has anything to do with his health now.

Please keep Gordo in your purrz and prayers.

Our Christmas Card am about time 3:39! Ours features Jeremiah Midnight resting on a blankie, one of our foster kitties who am now with Cattails in Manhattan. We all voted and thought him looked soo sweet dat he could be our spokes-cat this year.

And now fur a little Christmas / Hanukkah Miracle story as purrmiced.

This miracle happened on the last night of Hanukkah last week. And Hanukkah am all about miracles! 

Katie Mom hauled truck and trailer. Her had not driven a truck with a trailer on it fur a gazillion years! (well maybe twenty or so... mol - Katie Mom)

Well first when you gets to the transfer station.... you haz to pay some moneys up front while on the first scale. So Mom did that and left her waist pack open by mistake.  While throwing all the wood from an old RV and yucky trash out, some of the wood lifted up the bag and her billfold fell out...

Mom didn't notice until back on the second scale after emptying.  Mom, the other worker with her and a trash employee moved all the yucky trash and they all purred and prayed and stuffs.... Mom felt a funny peace and didn't panic.  and then her billfold gotted founded! Mom did her happy dance and hugged everfurry body!  But forgotted to make sure all the cards and Drivers License was still there... her has no idea why she didn't notice when finishing paying the rest of the fees at the empty scale.

Well later that night while at the store, looking fur store fuel points card - that's when she noticed credit cards and driver's license missing... and that's when her tried to worry again... yet that Holiday Peace came over her again.  Mom had to wait until the next day. She called the trash transfer place and Lo and behold!!! They had her driver's license.  Still had to call credit card companies... though.  Still dat's our Hanukkah and almost Christmas Day miracle.

Chiquita am still learning about the indoor world and wants to leave her kennel apartment... yet she is still healing and needs to not exert herself.  Very docile for a feral baby. 

She will let me hold her, cries about it yet purrs and purrs to calm herself.  She ate from my fingers today and then ate from a plate in my lap.

Last night Molly got in the carrier Silvia was washing. Good sign - Molly wants to be where ever Chiqui might be.

Please purr that we catch Mama Molly before Molly has more babies.  I need to find somewhere for both girls to stay in an enclosed warm garage, room in a foster, office in a hardware store that takes cats - ASAP...

Silvia is still recovering from her back injury and needs healing prayers. She is getting better slowly. We have 70.00 toward rent for next week - just need about 80.00 more. 

With only Molly to catch and get spayed and find a place with her daughter, time for a new place for Silvia and her five babies, time for a year of miracles.

One Crisis Over - Outdoor Cats Safe!

Thank you all for your purrz and prayerz...
My extended family has several homes to help look after rescued kitties... Now they need forever homes asap.... because my mother and I need to sell homes and move in to one home so I can be her caregiver.


For over a year now, two outdoor abandoned young cats had no place to go but a screened in front porch...Animal Control Officer nearly took them the first of September.  Neutered and vaccinated two weeks ago. Transported to a safe country home on the 13th - 150 miles - 2 hours away.  Hooray for "Wordless Wednesdays."

Kody is getting neutered tomorrow and may have a forever home waiting for him but the journey will be 3 hours away... and I can't get there without financial help.

His Mom, Mew Mew is visiting a possible home tonight in town...

Marvelous Monday - Jazzpurr Am All Better

Hiya to all our Furry Friends and Pawrents,

I am all better! The Lady wanted to make sure afore we toled you.

The Mom Lady thinks your prayers were why I made an easy and quick recovery. Dem yucky pills helped but how come Ize feeling so wonderful so soon?  

Even Lil Bear tooks longer den me!  Nows that I'm feeling so much better, the Lady can helps me find my furever home.
 
Until then, if that Lady will just find the laser dot thingy so I can chase it and get some exercise!

Wonderful Wednesday - Jazpurr says Thank You

Hellos... I am still sniffling some.  I am sitting near the humidifier.  My appetite am back and I am eating healthy weight food frum Purina.  I am being a good boy and letting the lady give me yucky pills.
I hates them, but the Lady gives me tasty stuff afterwards.  

I hopes to feel like exercising and chasing the laser toy furry soon.

Lil Bear and the Kerplunky Thing

Hello There, I'm peeking out of my new Catnip Cave from Cat's Club. They am made right here in the USA and gots catnip purred right into it! The Mom would have shared an Amazon link to this purrduct, but seems they are cheaper at sum place called Walmart in the store, cause dats where she got dis one. It came wif 3 caves and wood makes a furry fun Chrissymouse gift!

Deze ones frum Walmart say Cat's Club.  Da ones onda internets cums wif 4 caves and say purrr and zowee!  But the Mom says you can go to your favorite grocery store and ask for a paper sack and rub catnip on it and draws on it fur your kitty...

Kerplunky Thing

Ize am doing lots better! I waz furry goods and tooks my medicine dat was really weird tasting raspberry in a syringe that the Mom mades me swallow in between eating my favorite things like Fancy Feast kitten Turkey and Yummy Chicken dat Mom Cooked fur me.   We am sooo furry thankful that Brian and Gracie at Brian's Home am had amazing recoveries too!  Gracie was really bads sick and now her am home and well again.

Duz anybody remembers da Kerplunky thing? Dat waz in da Thanksgiving post. Sum of you mites remembers dat Mom wouldn't let me eat Dis am Mine all by myselfs and dat I hads to share.  While I tried to open Dis Am Mine, Joey rolled the Kerplunky Thing into the hallway. Well I finds out - the Kerplunky Thing was really just fur me!

Mom took off the kerplunky stuff and there were 3 cans of kitty food!  Me the one really eating canned foods cause sum of my cousins tummies go whacky wif canned foods...  

Mom says the canned foods are called Purrfect Bistro and they came frum some place called Chewy.com.  We gotted two Beef Wellington and One Surf + Turf Pate.

Here I am eating the Beef Wellington fur my evening meal. It was very yummy, but not very filling...Mostly gravy and hardly any meat at all.  About 3 in the morning, I woke Mom up cause my tummy was rumbly and needed more foods!  Mom fed me Fancy Feast foods which I gobbled ups and was very full.

So next night, the Mom let me try the Surf + Turf Pate... The Pate was much more filling than the Beef Wellington. 

The Mom says Purrfect Bistro changed the recipes and we gots to try the new formula.  The Mom thinks it would have been fun to try the old recipe too.

Dats my purrview.  We want to thanks Andy at Chewy.com fur sending us this wonderful package just before Thanksgiving.

Fur me, The Beef Wellington could works as a treat and the Surf + Turf was good when added to dry foods.
