Tomorrow Am Giselle's and Kittens' Big Day

Hiya furry friends and humans, Katie the Mom here
Tomorrow I will be transporting Giselle and her kids to Manhattan, Kansas - two and half hour drive to the KU mobile vet unit to have their operations and shots. Please keep us all in your purrz for the drive there and successful surgeries.

Cheddar, Colby, Pepper Jack (PJ) and Heather will stay in Manhattan with Cat Tails Manhattan to find their furever homes... 

Giselle (Gigi) will be coming back to my mom aka Nana - Mom is still missing Bibi - yet her house is just too empty with out a fur companion.

My camera phone is still acting oddly - hopefully soon will be able to afford a new phone.  Today will work on getting some new photos of the kittens - they have really grown. The kittens will be 11 weeks old this Sunday. Will share those photos this weekend.

We are so thankful that the motel owner gave us Gigi and her babies day after Labor Day - miserable rainy September 4th to save their lives. Looking forward to seeing how they do at Cattails Rescue Manhattan where another foster will look after them until they find their furever homes....

How sum ever to get the car ready for the trip two tires had to be taken care of. One bald and going flat every 8 hours - had to be replaced. The other was not holding air - slow leak. Went to U-Save Tires yesterday morning - very honest business that shares everything they do before they work.  Come to find out that the tire not holding air had a nail and rim was too dirty to make a seal. 

So far the cost to get car ready for trip tomorrow was 93.53 - money was borrowed from a donator and has to be repaid back. And the right rear keeps making a squeaky noise that needs checked tonight - been making that noise since the brakes on that wheel were replaced a few weeks ago.  Please purr we find out the source of that noise! If it is the shock - will have to wait to change out until back from the trip and when funds are available.  Well we will talk to you later - hopefully from Giselle's purrspective on the whole ordeal.

Hiya Furry peeples! I like chillin in a box - good place to hang out and watch the humans go by... Speeking of cats who like to chill, Katie Mom helped out with Catz Meow Transport this past weekend, to gets a kitty named Mustacchio from Iowa to hims mew home in Texas!

Here am Mustacchio chillin out in the rental car Katie Mom gotted for the journey cause our car am getting all wobbly when it am driven over 40mph.

Mustacchio am a young kitty with mild CH - Cerebellular Hypoplasia - a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that results in walking and balance problems.

Mr. Mustacchio knew he was different from other kitties. For one thing, he got to live in the house, instead of the barn! That made him feel special. He watched kitties walk from the window, and noticed they didn’t stagger around, like he did.

His human family saw he was special too and felt he needed to live inside and not out in the barn with the other farm cats. Unfortunately - a grandson was allergic, so they knew they would have to find him a good home.

They posted a video on the Cerebellar Hypoplasia Cats and Kittens Facebook page, and waited. Very soon a wonderful lady saw Mustacchio and knew he was her mew kitty! Her beloved Wobbles had died earlier this year and she wanted a new furry child to love. Volunteers helped Mustacchio get to hims furever home by driving different parts of the route.
 
And Mustacchio enjoyed the ride hanging out in hims hammock and sometimes sleeping on the way. Took two days of traveling to gets him to his mew Mommy. And Katie Mom was happy to be part of hims journey.

Narcisca - Purrs Fur Healing Selfies

Update: Mama Narcisca is doing some better - she is eating but still needs our prayers and funds for testing...
 

Today's selfies am brought to you by Narcisca, Silvia's Mama cat ...

Narcisca keeps having bouts of not eating and throwing up food.

Only symptom known is constipation and she was treated for only a few weeks ago. 

So Vet wants to do tests asap before giving her any more medication to find any possible cause. 

Yet cost for the tests and office fee will cost up to $200. Last month Silvia lost Natasha from asthma attack because of no funds. 








We need to take her as soon as possible. We almost have enough to take her in from scrapping funds, just need about 50.00 more.

Big Boy needs a mew name. A friend suggested his own name, Kevin MOL... Katie Mom likes Donnie - Him am a Mama's boy and loves to eat.

He was licking hims toes from foodies - you can see some bits of food in the photo by his back. Then hims brother and sister came to play!

That's Little Tigger in the back and Luna in the middle. Luna wants to wrestle.

Lil Tigger went back to be with mom after awhile.

Howsomever, they all nibbled on Sheba after they played and then they tooks a nap. At least that's when we remembers... I know they hads some yummies to eats and they liked it. They still nursing but Big Boy likes to has Mom to himself. Til next times!

Thankful For Kitties Saved and Kitties Loved

Hiya evfurryone... furst of all this am Katie Kitty Too.
I had my Gotcha Day last month. I am 14 years young and Mom had her birthday ten days ago...and her am a gazillion years old now.

Well the Mom am bin tired from working hard to help us kitties - so her skipped having a blog pawty fur herself... and we forgotted to post on Valentines!


 









Before the Mom goes back to working hard scrapping metal to help us kitties, we haz some thankful things to share:

Orange Boy who is about a year old is one of the kitties

rescued from a motel parking lot several weeks ago. Last Friday, he went to Cattails Manhattan, Kansas to find hims furever home.  Sweet boy went fur a vet checkup last Wednesday - he lost sight in his left eye from an injury when he was only six or seven months old.  He gained weight since his rescue - yay!  

And he gotted some worm meds so hims stool am much better. Although he was furry patient with the vet and the assistant, we weren't able to test him fur FIV/FLV yet because him is a big boy who not likes needles to steel hims bloods! Hopefully, Cattails will be able to test him furry soon...



One of our other rescues from the motel parking lot, Molly One (Chiquita's mommy) - had two beautiful kittens last night or early this morning. Mom checked on her this morning and her was nursing two wiggly babies. Her am protective of them so this photo am a bit dark...

Please keep Molly One and her babies in your purrz. One of the babies is black and white, the other is purry dark tabby and hard to see in the photo.

And lastly - we wants to honor our furry blogging friend, Brian's Home - Sister Kit went over the bridge last week. Furry sads - yet we are joyfully thankful that Sister Kit had a wonderful long life with her sisters and brother Brian, with one of the bestest families on the internets. Run and play like a kitten again Dear Sister Kit with Sister Sascha, until we see you again.

Power Out - Chica, Chico Selfie and Natasha Furry Sick

Hiya - This our furry first Selfie Sunday by me and my brother Chico. We took several, but the best one with brother up next to me Katie wasn't ready yet. She left the phone in the other room.

Katie was going to help Our Mama Molly 1 to take a selfie too and Orange, but the power went out in the house and we needs more light to get good selfies.

As you can see, it is a bit dark in the carrier bed without the lights on... So hopefully when the lights come on we will haz an update post with more selfies!

We are furry thankful not to be outside worried about cars and weather and bad dogs and stuffs.  Katie said we still need greenies to cover our surgeries.

Mama Molly hasn't had her babies yet. We will keep you posted.


Katie tells me that Auntie Silvia's cat Natasha am furry sick with asthma and a bad heart. A friend helped Auntie Silvia take her to ER yesfurday and they gave her pills, but she threw them up. Natasha's Mama  Narcisca been throwing up her foods too...

Natasha needs a steroid shot furry soon.

Foster Mama Cat and Kitten Vet Checkups

 Hiya Furry Friends.

My last human called me Bo Jangles... I am about one year old and my son, Mickey is just four months old. We are being looked after by Katie until Friday the 12th, when we get a 2nd chance at the good life at Cattails Rescue in Manhattan, Kansas.
  

This is our selfie from Caturday when we went to the vets to get a checkup. Mickey is enjoying the Feliway behind us... and he thought the flashy thing was going to go off again... We are waiting for Dr. Johnson to come see us.  Mickey has never been to the vet before and didn't know what to expect. I think he did very well for a beginner.
 


He got weighed... just barely 4 pounds. And I weighed almost ten pounds! I am a furry big girl.

Here we are getting a good checkup. Me first. My right ear has been bothering me alot... Sure enough, Doc said it was red and swollen. So he will have Katie put Tresaderm drops in that ear 2 to 3 times a day.

And Mickey has not been himself lately... not playing. Sneezing and some green stuff in his eyes. He is now taking Clavamox and eye ointment. Already feels more like playing. 
Our vet visit cost about $80.00. Katie used Care Credit. 



So how did we end up with Katie? About a week ago, Katie's metal scrapping friend's mother was told by her landlord that we had to go outside in freezing temperatures or lose her home!! That was our last human who befriended us... she had taken us in from her sister who couldn't care for us very well, yet our human couldn't handle us very much because of allergies.  I like people and catnip. My son Mickey is learning that humans can be very good too. He Loves bouncy balls and lots of dangly toys.

On Friday, we will take a long two hour trip and get fixed, shots and will be fostered with Cattails of Kansas. Please purr fur us on our journey. And if you can donate toward our bill or for gas money on Friday, you would be helping us on our mew journey; a second chance at forever love.

• We hads a kitty go to ER to haz a blood transfusion from anemia.
• Jeremiah Midnight finally gotted hims test and he is negative for FeLV and FIV
• Uncle Mike's cat Toby had owies on hims bottom and am going to get checked today.

Wants to lets you know that we will share Mewz furry soon about the kitties and good mewz too.

The Mom only haz so many hands and feets and stuffs 
and after Toby gets checked, her haz to take the truck full of metal scrap to the scrapyard to raise moneys fur us...
