Now Fur the Wordy Parts... by Katie The Mom and Katie Kitty Too

Pearl went to her mew foster home Sunday evening.. Pearl started out in the front bedroom downstairs where all kitties get acquainted first. There she was welcomed by two kittens named Hazel and Blake and two adult kitties named Pork Chop and Mystique. Pearl had loads of fun getting to know Hazel, Blake and Porkchop. 

She met Hazel first and growled a bit, yet then started playing with her from under the big chair. Then Blake came in and she liked him immediately. Then big ginger Pork Chop wanted in the bedroom. He thought Pearl was interesting and kept his distance at first. Pearl sniffed his nose and went back to playing with the Blake and Hazel. Some words from her mew foster Mommy, Dawn:

 "(Sunday Night) Pearl slept in and under the oversized chair that no one had claimed yet. Blake slept in Pearl's carrier. They didn't move until Hazel came in with me (Monday morning)."

"(Yesterday) Mystique decided Pearl is okay to be with. Mystique likes the piano to lay on. Both were napping (Pearl on or under the big chair) when I left for my hospice visit. Pearl came out and visited with my husband. You sit down and wait for Pearl to come see you. She decided not to stay outside the bedroom... made to the doorway (when) Mystique joined her in the room... Pearl turned around and went back in the bedroom. It was funny. She thought about it."

"At my house she definitely isn't alone. She still likes the "new" big chair she claimed to sleep under. When you sit down you see her white nose poke out to sniff and then her face to watch you. Once she is out, she checks everything and everyone out and then runs and plays. My cats play hard and then nap a lot."

In other Mewz: Silvia and her Kitties want to thank all the folks who helped pay for rent and stuffs this week. Not only did moneys come in to pay rent, enough monies came in to pay insurance on the car and to pay for the phone this month.  

There are roofers working on the motel roof for several weeks... Natasha is too scared of all the noise and isn't eating well... Please keep her in your purrz.


Silvia will calling a temp service on Friday to see if how many people they need for a seasonal bindery job. They are hiring several people and Silvia has done this sort of work before. Please purr that this is the break we have been waiting on... Because the next step without a job is to find all five cats (6 years old) a foster home and for Silvia to live with her Aunt who is allergic to cats.

Some of you remember Jolly, Nana's neighbor's cat who went OTRB because he contracted a fast acting leukemia? After he went to Pet Traditions, Katiez Furry Mewz readers helped to pay half of his urn. Well just found out that his Mommy has not been able to make payments on the urn. About 92.00 left when Pet Traditions called me on Monday. I was able to make a 25.00 payment, thanks to the kind folks who donated funds recently.  Leaves about 67.00 dollars... I have some funds coming in furry soon that should cover fur Jolly to come home.



Our family of fosters - still have two girls, Lulu and Annie May who need shots updated and spayed. The least cost will be about 75.00 each for the spay and 25.00 each for vaccinations. Not counting cost of bloodwork before hand that if we have to, will skip and just pray alot.  Dr. Jones is the bestest spay surgeon in town and she only charges 75.00. Will get their vaccinations from Dr. Johnson who gives us discounts and uses Care Credit.  Fur Lulu and Annie May, we needs an extra 150.00

And Lastly, but not leastly, us humans, Katie and Uncle Mike are worried about Lil Bootsie who doesn't want to eat much and truly needs her tooth pulled asap. She has a resorptive lesion and we thinks that may be why she not want to eat much - at least her is being furry picky about foods.  Dr. Johnson said it would be about 325.00 for the dental surgery... and that we don't have.  

We would even be thankful if we found a way to borrow the moneys and pay back gradually since I have lots of furniture that needs to be sold. Just need to get them moved out of storage and to a place where they can be displayed and picked up...

Thank you fur all your purrz and support.  Working on a furry goods Christmas gifts surprises fur all who helped Katiez Katz this year.  On my wish list is a better program than Picture It, even an older photo shop that doesn't charge monthly (Katie Mom gots geek power so older program am okay.)  Picture It only works with XP. Will be testing the magnet sheets on the big Epson Printer furry soon. In the meantime, please checks out the Purple Kattery Auction Blog - Lots more stuffs to be added soon.

Note: Pearl is four months old, needs funds for her shots and still looking for her forever home. 

The Mom tooks her to Arapaho Vet Clinic to be checked for ringworm... saw nothing... yay!  (although we don't likes how one the doctor handles kitties... him am too rough. we not go back there again. Uncle Mike's neighbor goes to a furry nice doctor. We might try him if he has a black light to helps us check us kitties.)

Must be some kinda miracle that so far none of the kitties am showing that we contracted the yucky meen rings from Mom...although we haz to keeps watch to make sure

Angel loves a Good Selfie and Pearly Updates

Hiya, My name is Angel...and it's my Sunday Selfie turn finally.  I haven't shared in a long whiles. I am really a dog in cat fur. I love to play fetch and have been waiting for a forever home a furry long time. The Mom shoulda shared me on Black Cat Awareness Day but we didn't haz internets at her house then. 

I love being up high. I hope my forever home will haz a big cat tree, which is much nicer than the top of the refrigerator. 

While waiting fur my forever home, I have become a wee bit chubby... Cause I prefer playing fetch with my human.  

I am afraid of other cats and only knew one dog I really loved... I grew up with that doggy so I don't understand other cats.  I am afraid of them!!! I am looking for that special someone who wants a dog... a cat who is very clean, only claws her cat tree and ball track.

Besides, I am lots of fun and will fetch that mousie for you all day long! Or whatever your schedule is. I would love to help you relax and play fetch when you get home from a long day of hunting at the office. Please share me, especially if you haz facebook. The Mom am willing to drive anywhere in Kansas or a surrounding state to find my furever purrson.

Pearl here...with a selfie from two weeks ago. Katie Mom really needs to take some mew photos of me and show you how much I haz grown in the last two weeks.  I was supposed to go visit a foster home today, but Mom has yucky rings that looks wormy but you can't play with them... Her am nots contagious now... but her looks yucky so I haz to waits and get checked on Tuesday to make sure I nots has yucky wormy spots. 

The foster mommy sent Katie Mom some info about a rash that am round... whats dat Mommy? (nummular dermatitis on Wiki and WebMD)... so Dr. IKnowsitall on the last post knew something Katie Mom didn't... save that kinda rash he though Mom had am filled with bumpies and ring worm am a red ring with a flat spot in the middle. That's what the internet says and Mommy's are rings with flat spots... Sure wish it were nummy dermastuffoms so I could go visiting nice kitties today who would play with me.

The Mom says we sure could use some greenies to gets all the kitties tested to makes sure weze all okay, especially me, Katie Kitty Too who sits in mom's lap alla time at the computer at Uncle Mike's, Maxie and Bootsie who both just gots over dermatitis from meany fleas and stuffs.

Katie Mom tried a black flashlight on me and all she saw in my fur was glowing dust from the newspaper litter! Mom say thats flashylight not a real black light likes when her was young. (LED)

Anyways Mom will take some photos of me as soon as Angel plays fetch and then goes back to her room so I can come out of the bathroom. I sleeps in the bathroom cause Angel am fraidy of me! Silly big kitty, I just want to play!  Please purr that I gets to be with  other kitties my own size furry soon!  Pawsible Foster Mommy and Katie Mommy wants that more than anything!

Purrz fur Mom who gotted Ringworm

We interrupt our pur-reviously scheduled post to share that Mom gotted ringworm from helping Uncle Mike's neighbor whose kitties lives in a furry messy house and goes outdoors to a yard dat needs lots of cleaning... and her didn't wear gloves. MOM! What were you thinking?!? Dat no buddies was sicks?? (note: ringworm on kitties can be asymptomatic... not seen)

Ring Worm After 3 days of  Clotrimazole

Now you gots ugly sores on your arm and back and chin haz to takes yucky meds. You shoulda seen that one on her neck when she went to the doc - all big and round and puffy sore.   And you can't holds me in your lap while we does the bloggy either.

Mom was sooo dumb she thought the first sore on her neck was a spider bite...when it showed up last weekend as a furry small circle. But then dat sore gotted the size of a quarter by Tuesday and her went to da clinic to see doctor!
 

But even dumber was the doc at the clinic who thought it was a rash. Mom knew it wasn't a rash... 
So when Dr. Iknowzitall wanted her to use Kenalog, a steroid cream, her told him and Student Nurse Iknowzitall in Training if Kenalog had lanolin in it cause her am was allergic. Dr. Iknowzitall said "there isn't anything in the cream that is listed on your chart."  Well come to finds out, lanolin wasn't on her chart like supposed to be.  Then Mom looked up the cream inactive ingredients on her smart phone and sure enough that cream haz lanolin.  But they didn't listen.

In fact Student Nurse Iknowzitall said that Mom shouldn't be allergic to the steroid cream cause her had the same med in an injection before!! What?? Dats crazy, every human knows that ya don't puts the cream base stuffs into your bloodstream. I maybe a cat, but I knows dats pills and foods dats Mom puts da pill in are diffurent things... Dat Nurse needs to takes medicine class over before her goes spouting dumb stuffs again and hurts somemommy.

Mom been going to that clinic likes furever and all the volunteer doctors are usually furry smart and trustworthy. Mom am gonna make sure not to haz appointments when Dr. IKnowzItAll am there. Steroid cream am big no no with ring worm. What if Mom had not been allergic to lanolin and used that cream on her neck ouchie? Woulda been a gazillion times worse. Looks how bad it gotted anywayz!

So how Mom find out? From alla smart peoples saying, "That looks like ring worm." She asked Auntie Silvia, Nana Mom, a friend who went to dermatology school and a vet specialist. Intake nurse at clinic thought so too.

And me hoping dats Mom didn't give dat nasty stuffs to us!!! Now Mom am taking Turbinafine (edited) pills to stop being contagious and it am hards on her liver (her liver gots tumors in it) but her don't want us and Nana and Uncle Mikes to be sicks.
By Tuesday, Mom started cleaning everything and wearing gloves. Uncle Mike am gone to gets a black light so we can find out if our furs or skin am glowing or not. If lots of kitties looks like they has Martian furs, Mom will take us to be tested, but that's gonna cost alots and we don't has dat. 

Mom am especially worried bout me being the oldest, Maxwell Tigger and Boostie cause they just gots over flea rashes and little Pearl who am the youngest and was supposed to visit foster home tomorrow.
 
CATURDAY ART... I helped mom turn that yucky photo into something purrtee using Paint.net with crystalizing and denting. Three steps - crystal, hue and denting.

We keeps you updated if anycats fur looks like Martian Ring cats... Please purr nuffin am founded. Please purr that we don't need monies fur testing and meddies.
