Hiya Furry Friends, Chiquita here having a nice Easy Sunnyday selfie and the last night of Hannukah be tonight. Katie Mom am doing much better from last Sunnyday - turns out may have been an allergy to seasoning or sumpin in the food her ate.

We are doing flashback selfies as this selfie of me was taken on 2017 8th of April. Hanukkah today we remembers Flash who went over the Rainbow Bridge May 2017. Hanukkah 2016 was Flash's furst time to celebrate Hanukkah and him asked lots of questions...

Angel the Fetch Kitty: Is he the guy who Whacked Bees with Hammers?

Katie Too: No! Judah Maccabee saved the Jewish People from the mean King Antiochus Eppiphaneez...who wanted to sacrifice a pig at the temple.  Judah Maccabee and hims brothers fought the Greeks and made them go home. Then they rededicated the temple and found oil for one day to light the menorah, but it lasted 8 days!Judah was called The Hammer, that's what Maccabee means.

Katie Too: That's like a dumpling made of flour and cooked in chickens. Bear likes chickens.

Lil Bear: but Joey said they were bouncy balls that didn't bounce.
Katie Mom: Depends on how hard the dumplings are... On to the third verse. 


 On the Third Day of Hanukkah my True Love gave to me, Three Sufganyot, Two Matzah balls and a picture of Judah Maccabee!

Joey: Sounded better than jelly. Unless am catnip jam...

On the fourth day of Hanukkah, My True Love gave to me... four potato latkes, three sufganyot, two matzah balls and A Picture of Judah Maccabee!!

Flash: Okay, what are potato latkes?

Lulu:  Joey said they were potato latch keys made to open the door to the cat food closet.
Joey: or to the tzedakah box - the giving box fur donations and stuffs.

Flash: ummm... what are gelt? (wondering what Joey has to say this time)
Joey: oh that's just money made of chocolate... we can't eat those.  Now if someone would make them out of cheese...

On the Sixth Day of Hanukkah my True Love Sent to me... Six dreidels spinning, FIVE GOLDEN GELT, four potato latkes, three sufganyot, two matzah balls... and a Picture of Judah Maccabee!

(Now Flash had Joey's attention. He sat up excitedly)

Joey: Yes they are lots of funs... They are spinning tops and when humans spin them, you can chase them til they fall over. Dreidels in America have the Hebrew letters Nun Gimmel Hay and Shin which stands for Nes Gadol Haya Sham. (typo fixed), that means A Miracle Happened There. In Israel the Dreidels have a Pay letter instead of Shin for  Nes Gadol Haya Po, A Miracle Happened Here.

Flash: Where did Dreidels come from?

Thankful For Kitties Saved and Kitties Loved

Hiya evfurryone... furst of all this am Katie Kitty Too.
I had my Gotcha Day last month. I am 14 years young and Mom had her birthday ten days ago...and her am a gazillion years old now.

Well the Mom am bin tired from working hard to help us kitties - so her skipped having a blog pawty fur herself... and we forgotted to post on Valentines!


 









Before the Mom goes back to working hard scrapping metal to help us kitties, we haz some thankful things to share:

Orange Boy who is about a year old is one of the kitties

rescued from a motel parking lot several weeks ago. Last Friday, he went to Cattails Manhattan, Kansas to find hims furever home.  Sweet boy went fur a vet checkup last Wednesday - he lost sight in his left eye from an injury when he was only six or seven months old.  He gained weight since his rescue - yay!  

And he gotted some worm meds so hims stool am much better. Although he was furry patient with the vet and the assistant, we weren't able to test him fur FIV/FLV yet because him is a big boy who not likes needles to steel hims bloods! Hopefully, Cattails will be able to test him furry soon...



One of our other rescues from the motel parking lot, Molly One (Chiquita's mommy) - had two beautiful kittens last night or early this morning. Mom checked on her this morning and her was nursing two wiggly babies. Her am protective of them so this photo am a bit dark...

Please keep Molly One and her babies in your purrz. One of the babies is black and white, the other is purry dark tabby and hard to see in the photo.

And lastly - we wants to honor our furry blogging friend, Brian's Home - Sister Kit went over the bridge last week. Furry sads - yet we are joyfully thankful that Sister Kit had a wonderful long life with her sisters and brother Brian, with one of the bestest families on the internets. Run and play like a kitten again Dear Sister Kit with Sister Sascha, until we see you again.

Jeremiah Midnight Gets Nuetered Next Week!!

Hallelujah Update! A friend of mine called who lives in another town and she is going to fund JayMee and two of my foster girls to be fixed next Friday the 15th! Just have to travel to another town. Thank you all fur your purzz - Jaymee's neutering will take place next week, which is better since he just got his vaccinations on Monday.... and my friend can help Jaymee find a mew home, too.  Purrz from Katie the Mom. 

Update: Asking fur Purrs fur Jeremiah Midnight that all goes well with hims neuter surgery tomorrow (correction, next Friday the 15th). We have never used El Paso for surgery before… so this will be a first. Always worried there because they have tons of dogs and so dog oriented…yet they are only $50.00 and take Care Credit. Looking for other options... Stay tuned.

We are furry thankful that Jeremiah Midnight.... got hims shots on Monday.... him likes being called JayMee fur short. The Mom said, Hi JayMee before they gots out of the car Monday and he looked so sweet at her likes... am you talking about me? I likes that sound fur me. Duz you luvz me?

He has gained a whole pound - now 8 lbs and his owie is healing nicely. Dr. Johnson said to do Tresaderm for his ears cause they still a bit itchy.

Electricians were at the vet's office rerouting the electronics so kitty room was not available. So they just took J.M. Back where Dr J took care of him in the surgery area. The only photo mom gotted was JayMee in hims carrier.

He will be getting him boy operayshuns tomorrow...(correction!!! Next Week - see update at the top)

Also the Mom was wondering if any other Kitty pawrent has heard about certain vaccinations having some ingredient that may cause kitty cancer?  Dr. Johnson used some expensive vaccinations that don't have this antigen and well we just can't afford that fur every kitty and now Mom and worried...  like the rabies shot was 33.00 (our discount made it 24).

P. S. I am 14 years old now! Mom doesn't know my real birthday, but my gotcha day is in January.... Please keep purring fur me too that I stay health fur more years to come.

• Jeremiah Midnight finally gotted hims test and he is negative for FeLV and FIV
• Uncle Mike's cat Toby had owies on hims bottom and am going to get checked today.

Mom Katiez 56th Birthday Pawty!!!

Before We gets into our pawty celebrations... duz you remember Romeo?

If you hazn't reads about him - Romeo's Story.
Mom Katie and Uncle Mike took Romeo to Kansas Humane Society, using the Reclaim to gets him neutered and finds a home... (Reclaim means if KHS would not adopt him out, we could take him back.) He did furry goods on hims interview and after his opurrayshun, they put him on the adoption floor and tooks hims photos.

Well him didn't looks happy in them photos and Mom and her rescue friends gotted worried after they tooks hims photos down.

Turned out he was just moved to a different area. Well yesfurday (Caturday) a furry goods friend went to check on him to take him to her home... and (drumroll pleeze) ......

Romeo was already ADOPTED!!!! 

Please keep him in your purrz that this adoption is hims purrfect home. Adult kitties are free at KSH...

For some reason all 3 of Silvia's kitty boys keep coming down with crystals and UTI. The Mom and Silvia got them D-Mannose yesfurday and already seems to be helping - one bottle of 120 capsules was 22.00. Also got L-Methionine to help break down the crystals by changing the acid balance. Yet Gordo still needs hims radiograph and bloodworks done again to find out why he keeps loosing weight - was 13 pounds and now 8 pounds.

The Mom bought Pet Well Being Thyroid supplement and waiting for that to come in the mail too. Still need funds to get Gordo to the vets and make sure it is just his thyroid and not something else (gonna be over hundred dollars again.) Silvia had several job interviews last week. Katie Mom and Uncle Mike picked up lots of metal and we have things selling at eBay, but we are still short about 100.00 rent. The bestest birthday present would be money to get Gordo's tests.
