My Half Siblings and Mama am bin Caughted!

This am Chiquita....

Katie Mom and a rescue friend gotted my Mama and half siblings caughted Tuesday night! They used a drop trap and it worked to get four kitties: My Mama Molly I, My half siblings Chico and Chica, and Orange, a kitty that may be the Daddy of Molly Mama's babies that her will haz furry soon.

Chico, Chica and Orange went to haz dehr gentlemen and lady oppurayshuns this morning at Kansas Humane Society. Chico and Chica are also getting tape worm meds too. Katie Mom got an update that Chico and Chica are doing goods after surgery! But they gots to has their ears tipped even tho they are going to be inside.

Katie Mom and her friend were too busy doing da trapping dats photos forgotted get taken on Tuesday.

Howsumever, we do haz photos after the trapping... My Mama Molly is now in a big kennel cause her am going to have babies again. Can you see the resemblance? I looks like my mama with round eyes likes a Persian only short hair. Mama isn't scared...just looks sad. Her am over eight years old or more now.

Katie and Auntie Silvia think Mama was left behind years ago to keep having babies and babies. For some reason, only one would survive. Every time her babies were rescued, she would cry for days. But she was always smart and could not get caught until Katie Mom and a friend used a drop trap on Tuesday.

Just last year, she had three survive, one was long hair and the other two are Chico and Chica that gotted caught on Tuesday. The long haired kitty was shot when it was little... yes sooo sad and makes Katie Mom and me mad for my innocent sibling to die like that.
I wish Katie Mom had been able to finds a drop trap when Mama and I were together. We sure loved each other back then - been more than a year ago.... I don't know if Mama remembers me now.

Katie Mom tried to show me Mama am here, but I gotted scared and ran off... Cause of strange lady coming in to help bring My family inside. Maybe I can try again later to remember Mama.

We don't haz a goods photo of Orange yet...
Here am this one from last year, eating at Auntie Silvia's place. Katie Mom and Auntie Silvia tried to catch him umpteen months ago when him was only half grown. He is a big kitty now. Sad thing he can't come back to motel to eat there anymore and we don't know if he has anyone else in the area who cares about him and we don't want him to be put down for being unwanted :-(

We am so thankful that my family got caughted and Orange Too!

Yet here am the things we needs purrz abouts. Firstly that we will find Orange a place to go (he is lovable good boy but ornery MOL), and each kitty that gotted fixed today costed $70 each and then another $20 to treat Chico and Chica for Tape worms. That's $70 times 3 plus $20 = $230!!

We don't think they takes Care Credit. Katie Mom will finds out.  We needs our caring readers to helps with the bill.  Can you helps us pay the $230 by sending some greenies to paypal dot com using gift to friends at laugh_safely at yahoo dot com?

Thank you so much for purring and helping Katie Mom save my family and Orange Cat too.

Thankful Mewz and Blind Kitty Update.

On Tuesday, I took Lovey to Arapahoe Animal Clinic to have her eyes checked...

Turns out dearest girl has Progressive Retinal Atrophy. Lovey has too few blood vessels feeding the retina in both eyes. Sometimes this is reversible, sometimes not. Lovey will be five months on weighs only 3 and a half pounds. Most kitties her age weigh around five pounds. Please keep Lovey in your purrz...

According to Pet Education website:
The photo receptors in cat retinas develop after birth to about 8 weeks of age. In PRA, the photoreceptors develop in the kittens, but as the cat ages, the receptors degenerate. Progressive rod-cone degeneration (PRCD) is the most common form of PRA in cats, and starts with night blindness and progresses to total blindness at 3 to 5 years of age...As the disease progresses, owners can observe a dilation of the pupils and the reflection of light from the back of the eye.

If the blindness is progressing slowly, the owner may not notice any signs until the cat is in unfamiliar surroundings and the lack of vision is more apparent. In some animals, the lens of their eyes may become opaque or cloudy.

Sometimes the condition is reversible.
Lovey is related to the two "blind" boys that a wonderful lady adopted who works with Cattails Rescue in Manhattan Kansas. Marco and Polo must have had PRA, yet recovered for the most part - They still have delayed pupil light response and some seeing difficulties.

Still good mewz to be thankful for.
Yesterday, I drove 2 hours to Manhattan, Kansas to take Lady Grey (aka Baby Girl), Lovey and her litter mates, Faith, Hope and Oliver, to fixed at the KSU mobile vet unit (supported by PetsMart Charities), sponsored by Cattails Rescue Manhattan.  (I forgotted to take photos!!!)

Lady Grey went in one carrier, while kittens who like to hang out together went in two other carriers: Lovey and Faith in one and Oliver and Hope in the other.
Faith and Hope look alike. The only way I can tell them apart is to see which one wants to be with which other kitty! After I figured that out yesterday morning, I put pink collar on Faith and an aqua collar on Hope.

The kids and mom were very quiet on the trip up to Manhattan - they did really good during surgery too!
Natalie of Cattails Rescue KS was there at the KSU mobile vet unit site to help put the carriers into the vet trailer.

I met their mew family when I dropped off the kitties.  Nicollette, Rick and their son Jonathan, since they had two girl cats needing spayed as well.
They are so devoted to animal care taking and usually take in the fosters that no one else will, such as blind kitties like Lovey and shy kitties too. Lady Grey and her family are very quiet and shy.

After their surgeries, their mew family picked them up!
All five Ninja kitties are going to be living in Junction City. I spoke to Nicollette and so far they are doing well, Lovey due to her blindness is taking time to adjust and Oliver who is furry shy is being a bit standoffish... yet all is well.  Oliver also has some delayed pupil light response, yet still seems to be seeing OK. Yet I do worry about him, due to his reticent behaviour around humans and new situations. Their mew family also has other kitties and pug dogs who think they are cats... Hopefully will have new photos furry soon!

Another bit of good mewz... longer story later .....
Pam and her little doggies do not have to be out by

Friday from their home!!!  The trailer that Katiez Furry Mewz and Center of Hope helped make first payment (lease to own) on will be moved to Wichita, vs staying in a mobile park in Mulvane, due to rudeness of the Mulvane Park owner.

The new trailer park owner where they may be moving to called Pam's current landlord and said a few words about the laws in Kansas... and now Pam has until December first to get ready to move into her new trailer! Thank you for all your purrz and prayers for Pam's situation!

Still have work to do getting moved and hopefully the new trailer park owner will help with moving the trailer from Mulvane to Wichita.

And unfortunately...
still have sewer backup - hoping that can get tackled this weekend...  More furry thankful mewz soon

Still the works of a pet caring ministry am nevers done... we are off to takes more metal to the scrap yard and find stuffoms to sell. If you can helps with funds of any size, please paypal to laugh_safely at yahoo dot com gift to friends. Every pawdy pitter patter bit helps, even prayers and kitty hugz.

Baby Mama and Her Kittens

Meet Little Flash 2
======================

This Story Tells the Vital Importance of Preparing A Box
For Mama Cats Days Before They Give Birth!!

(and introducing it to them)

My mother's neighbor has a woman and her daughter renting the back bedroom and basement of her house. They have a very little kitty girl who had six kittens on Monday. A box wasn't prepared ahead of time for Mama and her babies. (Note: I had been in touch with the neighbor about the kitty but didn't give enough advice about having a box ready nor brought one over yet.)

Monday morning, when they found her giving birth in the litter box in the cold basement, they put her in a kennel without any blankets... poor little ones did not nurse immediately and after she gave birth to them all, Katie huddled in the opposite corner from her little ones, rejecting her babies.

My mother's neighbor called me, that Katie was rejecting her babies. By the time I arrived to help (I had to run to pet store to get formula and syringes), someone had finally placed mama and babies on a blanket in a shallow box.

Sweet little Katie curled around her babies, trying to get them warm. Luckily she had eaten all but one of the placentas to gain back her strength.

Katie huddled around five of her kittens, yet one of the kittens was alone, wet from birth, cold and unresponsive. I picked up the lone kitten and fed him milk replacement with syringe, stimulated his tummy. Took lots of gentle rubbing with a towel before he finally made a sound and squirmed in my hand. I placed him with her other kittens. Yet they too were not very warm and I couldn't tell if all her mammary glands had milk... I checked the other kittens and gave the colder ones some milk by syringe and placed them back with mama. I also fed Katie milk from the syringe. She drank two half syringes full and then settled down with her babies.

Little Flash 2
I went across the street to my mother's home for a better box with high ends. When I returned, the babies were dry and warmer with fuller tummies.
I checked on the little one that I saved... he was doing well. Three boys and three girls. Three are smoky black and three are grey and white. One of the kitties has a "G" or a "C" shape on her back. And the little one I saved has a white mark on his back, just like Flash who went OTRB two weeks ago.

Please keep these little ones and their Mama in your purrz and prayers...

Katie will need help taking care of her six little ones. I may end up looking after mama and her babies very soon if they are all going to survive. This many babies - little Katie and her six children are going to need lots of nutrition and attention.

Urgent Help Needed: Silvia is moving to California

We interrupts normal Sunday Selfies fur very impawtant and urgent mewz:

Calling all cat bloggers
from Kansas to California,

and evfurry one who has fallen in loves with Silvia and her kitties!

Silvia is extremely exhausted from no sleep and worrying about cats and her car needing fixed badly (CV joints and possibly the transmission.)

The cats and Silvia are stressing out from their living situation due a person who shall remain nameless. Gordo needs to be seen by vet for his stress UTI. Needs to go to ER. Or we will try to get him to his vet in the morning. But KFM funds are at their lowest - 12.00 in Care Credit available and that's all.  Gordo needs to be seen as soon as possible, because he and his fur mates may be taking a trip!

Her sister wants her to move to California where she can start over...  and the cats can come too, but long drive and we will need more carriers and the car fixed!!!

Natasha
Otherwise, we are looking for any transportation that can get Silvia and her fur kids to her sisters in California in Los Angeles, Ventura suburbs....  and places for her to stay and rest along the way.

Guero

I may still have to look after her cats for a short while. This means I may have to board Angel at a vets while I get things ready if I can't find a home for her.  Angel is occupying the room they can stay in at my house if they need to - I need to find a home for Angel.

There may be a kitty transport that goes through Kansas on way to Washington state - may be able to take Silvia and the cats to California -

Ronnie Johnny
I am also calling on all kitty bloggers from here to California and evfurry one who loves kitties - can you help be a part of a Mewracle???  We needs to sort this out as soon as pawsible within the next two weeks.

Fur all the loving folks from France to New Zealand and all over the U.S. who has comes to loves Silvia and her babies, this is a wonderful thing for them...

Mama Narcisca
Please comment to lets me know  how you  can helps make a mewracle happen..before Christmas... Pay it Furward and saves them all. PLEASE SHARE WITH EVERYONE!!

Ricky Raccoon

We are going to trap the friendliest outdoor cat who has a home waiting for him. Raccoon Kitty.  Sadly, Swirly may have gone OTRB... a car dealer said they found a large cat hit by a car... We may be able to trap a feral Mom and her daughter - please pray - they are hard to catch.

Gordo really needs your help today as his bill may be over 150 just for ER.

We need about 80 more dollars to cover rent for the next week while we sort everything out, getting the cats safe and Silvia ready to leave Wichita...

Please keep Silvia and her cats in your prayers... We really need it.

Thankful Found Kitty Mewz and Silvia Needs Your Purrz

Hiya! Angel the Fetch Kitty Here...  Dis am my turns to share Thankful Mewz and Purrz todays.

Yesfurday weze telled about
Ninja the cat
was losted in Wichita, Kansas while on vacation and gotted found and wents back to her family in Florida last weekend. Here am links to story:
http://www.kansas.com/news/local/article110697842.html
http://www.kansas.com/living/pets/article111476092.html

Ninja got away when her family staye at downtown Wichita hotel on June 9 on way to Colorado. Renee and Brett Farmer of Sarasota, Florida, said they searched as long as they coulds before leaving Wichita. They kept in contact with Wichita shelters but thought Ninja was goned. Ninja was found by Friends of Felines when she started hanging out with a feral cat colony.

Pilot Jeff and FOF Tammy Stubbs with Ninja

Tammy Stubbs of Friends of Felines said Ninja was brought in with 40 cats to do a Trap Neuter and Return at KSHS, when they discovered Ninja had a microchip. Ninja was taken to Cat Hospital - dat's da vet we used to spay Pearl recently - and she gots checked all over before her trip to Florida. Only had a wound on her neck that needed antibiotics and needed flea treatments.

Her Mommy Renee said, “We are so excited about having her home,” said Renee Farmer from Florida. “My husband is on pins and needles. He grew a beard and is worried she won’t recognize him. Of course, she will...  Someone sent us a picture of the jet she is riding on and we are giggling. We can’t believe she is riding in on this fabulous jet. It is just such a sweet way to get her here. It is a dream come true. We thought we had lost her forever.”

Katie Mom and me beleeves dats Ninja was being looked after by Kitty Angels... she musta bins cause a reunion likes Ninja's doesn't happen furry often here...

And  then the most purr-interesting "coincidence" happened. When Katie Mom tooks Peach, the lost ginger cat into the Vet ER Specielty Hospital to check for a microchip, who should come in with a kitty to ER? Why Tammy Stubbs from FOF who helped get Ninja back home! Mom am bin needing to get back in touch with Friends of Felines and they exchanged information.  Another thankful that was just the rights timing from Above.

Now we haz to ask fur lots of Purrz fur Silvia.

Last night Silvia went to ER because of chest pain that would not go away. She had numbness in her arm and hand. She spent most of the night there doing many tests and diagnosed that she had a "mini stroke" - Transient Ischemic Attack

She was running a fever, had swollen throat on top of everything else - which is really odd since she had just finished some very strong antibiotics. They gave her several medications including Plavix.

She had trouble using her hand today and even dropped the litterbox pan. Please keep her and her five kitties in your prayers...Silvia's health may mean we need to find a home for her kitties soon.

We also ask for prayer that her so much stress... we ask that if you would like more info to pray specifically or to give advice, please contact Mom at laugh_safely at yahoo dot com.

-Angel and Katie The Mom.
