We are also thankful for Kitty Purrthdays - Baby Patches on April 7 from Nip and Bones

and Flynn from Two Devon Cats had his purrthday yesterday.

We are furry thankful that though Mew Mew's kittens took three days to all be borned... everyone right now is doing goods!  Mom makes sure Mew Mew gets plenty of her favorite food - Fancy Feast Kitten Turkey, as well as Iams kitten or Purina kitten chow and even milk replacer.... Her has lots of work to do!

I came in to the bathroom to say how are you doing...  and Mew Mew ran out of the box hissing, "None of your Business Lil Bear - get out!"

So I got out!  Well dat's okay.  Mom said you was busy with new babies... but Mom also said I am still her baby though....  

And Lastly, We am so furry thankful that Mom and Nana will not lose their homes in May if not enufs greenies come in...  Hooray!!!  And thanks to all who helped us. The greenies will help pay 2013 property taxes...

Now for a Furry Good Mews Update!
Although I still need help paying the taxes - I called the county appraiser yesterday and 
found out that mother and I are not 3 years behind yet - only 2 years by May 11.  The houses are not in danger of foreclosure until next year!  The bills were very confusing and made me think that 2015 taxes were due before the year was over, instead of after 2015.  Although I can breathe a sigh of relief that we won't be foreclosed on after May 11, we still need help to catch up on 2013 taxes.  The $105.00 raised so far will be used to pay on our taxes. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped....and shared our need.

Reason didn't post this yesterday besides exhaustion, needed some more information. Sedgwick County Property Tax Website is not "secure" - payments are secure, but anyone can pay on your taxes, making it look like an unscrupulous business could sweep in, pay your taxes and then try to take your property, which happens in other states and D.C. I checked with the appraisers office this afternoon and Wichita and possibly Kansas has laws against that happening.  Thank goodness!

Our Other Urgent Needs:

• Funds for seven kitty girls to get spayed - includes sweet Mew Mew after her babies are weaned and  our outdoor feral Mom who will have to be captured.
• Funds to get Revolution of Frontline for all the kitties - my vet will give us a discount.

The current funding campaign will be updated - or I may start a whole new one that includes Katiez Katz other needs.  Either way, I have learned a huge lesson - don't wait til the last minute to ask for help... From now on If my kitties and Mom need help, I will ask ahead of time!!!

QUICK FUNDS UPDATE - NOT GOOD MEWZ

QUICK UPDATE:  Tried to get a small loan from my bank...and they turned my down. They know I have automatic deposit of my husband's social security and they would be doing an automatic withdrawal of only 109.00 a month. The lowest loan they could do was twice what we needed so I would be giving them back half of the loan to begin with... didn't matter. I told them I would be able to repay them with in a few months with the fundraiser.... didn't matter. I told them my mother and I will be leaving their bank as soon as we can.

(I will be leaving Intrust State Bank as soon as I can to Fidelity Bank where I have a small account for kitty donations. Fidelity doesn't even charge customers for having a bank account.) Please keep sharing... I am so scared right now.

The last real meal I had was Friday at Passover Seder.... My stomach is too upset to eat any real food. So I have been fasting...  I will be drinking juice  and water and taking in some protein to keep up my energy. But that's all my stomach will handle right now.

I am going to call the county appraiser tomorrow and see if paying half of 2013 taxes by May 11 - $800.00 - would be enough to help us from being 3 years behind.

I have to do my kitty rounds now to check on all the babies... I am really asking for help first for my disabled mother and for the cats... who will have nowhere to go.

Also Mew Mew should have her babies any day now... (I was going to transfer her and the babies over to my house because the bathroom is larger there...right now she is in my (adopted) brother's bathroom.)

And Now for the Rest of the Story. Hallelujah! Thanks to a very special lady who helps in time of need, Sherri Painter may only need $60.00 for April's rent. If only 4 people donated $20.00 for the rent... and another 40.00 for Sherri's son's cab fare on Thursday to get to the job fair... Please keep her in your prayers. TWO DAYS TO GO or she will be evicted!!!

And then this morning I found a special sweetie who needs help to stay with her forever family. They are halfway to their goal. 30 days left.

Help Katiez Furry Mewz Pay 2013 Taxes -Save Our Homes!

We Need at least $1571.38 by May 11 for 2013 property taxes to keep from losing 3 of those homes...We desperately need to pay 2013 or have our homes go back for taxes.... 

Taxes for Three homes 2013:

• Mother's house (and her cat BiBi) : $580.36
• Grandparent's old home $381.13 (my older cats call home and all my belongings are stored. Mother's home and Grandparents' are adjacent to each other.
  They died in 1999)
• My home: $609.89 (where more cats are waiting for their forever homes.)

Several cats in 4 different homes depend on me for shelter, food and love. (Because of the number of cats - they cannot all live in the same place due to city regulations.)

Worst of all, Mother and several cats would become homeless. Mom had a brain tumor removed in 2000 and back surgery 2002. My disabilities make it very difficult to work. Mother lives on my stepfather's Social Security (he died in 2006), but her income doesn't even pay all her bills. My husband's social security helps pay our bills and groceries, all my mother's groceries, medicals and other bills. This month had to help pay Mom's water bill and 2nd mortgage. And each month we have expenses for saving and caring for many kitty lives.

The San Diego Humane Society started to welcome more than 2,000 orphaned kittens to their shelter Saturday as the so-called "kitten season" begins for the shelter.

Cat turned in by family for 'eating too much' will die in NY shelter

Leo is on kill list for Monday at Manhattan Center GIVEN UP BECAUSE HE 'EATS TOO MUCH' YET THIS POOR BABY IS UNDERNOURISHED.! He's borderline anemic and at two to four years old, Leo is only 5.9 pounds. The shelter lists Leo as undernourished.

URGENT 3 Days left: I am worried about a dear blogging Friend, Sherri Painter and her son who are doing all she can to just keep going and find jobs. Sherri is always posting on Facebook (see https://www.facebook.com/sherri.painter.5) and her blog (https://painterpack.blogspot.com/) of animals in need. Yet she is in need herself.
"We only have 3 days until rent is due. And if we don't have it, we'll only have 7 days to vacate." How devastating would be to be so close and get evicted. (Update: Sherry got the help she needed. Go Fund Me Link No Longer Available)

We sent 25.00 last week to help - which was the money for my Passover ticket at my congregation. (I am part of the dance presentation and was able to get my Passover ticket sponsored. With my food allergies, may not be eating much of the meal anyway! Will see on Friday. Hopefully I can get some gluten free crackers to substitute for Matzah.)

Secondly, I am scared about the following: My mom and I just received bills from the city concerning our property taxes for 2015. My mother's properties and My house are delinquent in taxes by 3 years in May...I thought we had till June. We desperately need to pay 2013 or have our homes go back for taxes. Not only losing our homes, but Mom and kitties would have nowhere to go.

Also Important but not as urgent:

• Funds to spay 5 cats. (5 x 60.00 discount at KSHS a local (kill) shelter or 5 x 80.00 at Wichita Cat Hospital),
• Waiting to find out about bills from breaking my toe in December.. filled out financial aid but still waiting to know if bills are taken care of or if I can make payment arrangements that fit my budget.
• A foster home for Mew Mew a sweet pregnant kitty. I may have to take her to LAPP, a no kill shelter. Do have up to 80.00 to send with Mew Mew from selling an antique book.
• I will continue to find items to sell and will be posting some of them on an auction blog. Will share link this week.
• Funds for getting Revolution for all my fur kids of at least one dose each (19 doses) - $318.00 vet discount
  (see post about Jazpurr's Boo Boo).

Without the flea meds for all kitties, Jazpurr may get another rash...
