We hazn't been onda bloggie in a long time cause we hide under Uncle Mike's bed alot, likes the Trout Talkin Tabbies last Wednesday who were under da bed hiding frum da scary snake dats wants ta takes over da worlds wif dat bast turd shark.

Unless the Mom gets chicken or turkey out of Uncle Mike's magic cold box where good foods come from... (fridge) den we comes running to the kitchen!
 
If you all gets to sees us on Facebook, then you knows that on Furry Friday, me, dats Lulu and Annie May went on a long 2 hour and half trip to Manhattan, Kansas to gets our lady oppurayshuns at the Kansas State Mobile Vet Unit and another 4 hours back cause the car tooks mom onda wrong highways twice!!!

We are furry goods getting over our surgeries and long trip.
We slept most of the time there and back.

Here am selfies dat Mom helped us with after our surgeries, just before we started on our way back to Wichita. We was sleepy still so didn't looks up.

Now fur a furry short other mewz update. 

Debra was able to get half the bill to start cremation fur her sweetie. We helped some with that... now to make payments on the rest which is about 80 dollars. 













Silvia's girls, Natasha and Mama Narcisca saw the vet but he didn't do bloodwork yet. He suggested that they might have fatty liver syndrome and to eat one meal a day and wait for them to feel like eating... Silvia tried this but didn't help.

They still don't have appetites and throwing up when they do eat. (FLS requires blood work to confirm the lack of not doing blood work is very confusing.)

A Wittle Update about Foster Kitties

Hello Folks, It's Sunday Selfie Time and just Peachy and Me today... Angel am napping somewheres.

Miss Peach -Well the Mom left off my beautiful tail and gotted her foot instead... Guess feet need selfies too sometimes... 

Chiquita - We am posting a furry short update today about the foster kitties, Bo and Mickey.

Peachy - They went to Manhattan, Kansas on Friday - Mom drove two hours up and two hours and so back.  They gotted their opurrayshuns at the Kansas State Mobile Vet Unit.  

After their oppurayshuns, they went to be with Cattail of Manhattan, KS.  On Mom's Facebook page, there am already somebodies who am in loves with Bo and Mickey!  We am so glad that Natalie Young will find them the bestest home or homes.

Chiquita - Well I am glad they ams gones... I just like you dear Peachy and sometimes I likes Angel.

Peachy - yes you are furry picky.... Bo and Mickey wanted to be friends... They like other kitties so that will help them find good homes.  Will gives you mew updates about them furry soon.  

We gotted an updated about Jeremiah Midnight! Hims the spokes kitty in our New Year's banner. Sweet kitty went through alot - abandoned, attacked by a mean kitty and had big owie on his leg... all healed now and fur has grown back. Natalie Young and Cattails helped him get the bestest home and him am getting lots of loves!  We loves good mewz!!

Jeremiah Midnight Gets Nuetered Next Week!!

Hallelujah Update! A friend of mine called who lives in another town and she is going to fund JayMee and two of my foster girls to be fixed next Friday the 15th! Just have to travel to another town. Thank you all fur your purzz - Jaymee's neutering will take place next week, which is better since he just got his vaccinations on Monday.... and my friend can help Jaymee find a mew home, too.  Purrz from Katie the Mom. 

Update: Asking fur Purrs fur Jeremiah Midnight that all goes well with hims neuter surgery tomorrow (correction, next Friday the 15th). We have never used El Paso for surgery before… so this will be a first. Always worried there because they have tons of dogs and so dog oriented…yet they are only $50.00 and take Care Credit. Looking for other options... Stay tuned.

We are furry thankful that Jeremiah Midnight.... got hims shots on Monday.... him likes being called JayMee fur short. The Mom said, Hi JayMee before they gots out of the car Monday and he looked so sweet at her likes... am you talking about me? I likes that sound fur me. Duz you luvz me?

He has gained a whole pound - now 8 lbs and his owie is healing nicely. Dr. Johnson said to do Tresaderm for his ears cause they still a bit itchy.

Electricians were at the vet's office rerouting the electronics so kitty room was not available. So they just took J.M. Back where Dr J took care of him in the surgery area. The only photo mom gotted was JayMee in hims carrier.

He will be getting him boy operayshuns tomorrow...(correction!!! Next Week - see update at the top)

Also the Mom was wondering if any other Kitty pawrent has heard about certain vaccinations having some ingredient that may cause kitty cancer?  Dr. Johnson used some expensive vaccinations that don't have this antigen and well we just can't afford that fur every kitty and now Mom and worried...  like the rabies shot was 33.00 (our discount made it 24).

P. S. I am 14 years old now! Mom doesn't know my real birthday, but my gotcha day is in January.... Please keep purring fur me too that I stay health fur more years to come.

Buddy am Saved - Miracles are Pawsible

Buddy gotted hims surgery yesterday from hims abscess and gotted nootered too! Now him can be an inside cat an no more getting hurted.

Buddy's Mommy Charlette wrote our Mom to tell evfurry cat that helped:  "Thank you so so so so so much for helping me with this, I can't even begin to express how much I appreciate this, You all have helped me relieve so much stress and Buddy so much pain, Thank you so much!" -Charlette.

Buddy's needs were first posted on Facebook at a page to save Believe, a TV series on NBC.  The series is about a girl named Bo who only wants to use her special gifts to help others and the bad guys who want to sell her to the highest bidder (government).  The Mom saw the post and wanted to help cause her believes in the show's message of helping others...

And even tho Buddy's Mom didn't know how much the bill would really be when she set up the give forward account, the exact amount was raised just in time to pay the bill.... Mewracles do happin when you Believe...

Angel and Little Bear Updates

ANGEL UPDATE: Spaying Furry Soon, then release to the outdoors.

Thursday, Angel was scheduled to be spayed... at the Kansas Humane Society.  But they required that since she was a feral... she had to be in a trap... well Angel has spent the last nine weeks looking after her kittens inside a kennel crate, with a kitty carrier for her bed...  Angel refused to leave the carrier and go into the trap cage... 

The carrier has become her security blanket, her refuge.  This intuitive girl placed her kittens in the dirt-filled litter box before a nasty storm hit hours later (while the kennel crate was on the patio) - and in that storm, lightening struck the telephone pole only yards away...  I gave up trying to make her go.  I not particularly fond of KHS, even though they have done a lot of changes.  One Sunday a month, they help Friends of Felines TNR campaign.  They have gone from saving 12% of animals that come into their doors to saving 85% since they have procured a significantly better facility.  

The only reason I was going to take Angel there was lack of funds.  They have a low cost program.  But like many other clinics in town, they do the "new way" of "wham, bam, here's your cat back, ma'am."  In and out surgery with little concern for the animals welfare afterwards...
So I'm going to take her to Mulvane Animal Clinic who did Joey's neutering. They still think of the animal's welfare - keeping the patient overnight in case of complications.  Although MAC does lower cost neuters starting at 40.00 + rabies at 15.00... spaying cost 70.00 + 15.00, (better than over 100.00 at other clinics in town).  Her FVCRP and deworming will cost more too.  Yet, Angel and I will get what we are looking for...a carrier to arrive in for her... and for me, Peace of Mind. 
 
 LITTLE BEAR UPDATE URGENT NEED OF PRAYERS

 For the past several weeks, Angel and her kittens had been staying with a family member, as well as two of the kittens that I found out in the heat (the other two kittens found homes within hours being found).  After Bears siblings and the two kittens found homes (last one to find a home was Sophie), Bear just couldn't stand being without other young kitties.  Monday, I brought him over to my brother's house to be around Joey, Lulu, Laurie, Pattie and Uncle Doobie.  The first several days this week, Bear was getting along just fine, especially with Pattie (who likes being called Annie now.) They would play and play until exhaustion... I fed Bear separately though since he's only 10 weeks old this week and the others are 5 months.

Thursday early evening, after a big yummy meal of Beachnut turkey baby food mixed with Fancy Feast canned kitten, which has been his diet for weeks, Bear took a long nap under my chair at the computer... When he woke up more than half an hour later, he threw up all the contents of his stomach.  A couple hours later, he ate a little bit of canned food and lots of water.  Yesterday (Friday) morning, he woke up, went to the kitchen, walked around the bowls of food, hid under the potato bin and threw up again... this time only saliva looking.  I called the vet and made an appointment for about one o'clock.  Well about noon, he ate a third of a can of Fancy Feast Tuna (he wouldn't touch the canned kitten food or anything else.) and he kept that down... so I canceled the appointment.  But last night he had diarrhea... twice.  the second time he tried to have a bowel movement and the only thing that came out looked like thick mucus.

He refuses to eat anything since yesterday at noon and won't drink any water without placing it on his tongue. Will be calling Dr. Johnson as soon as he opens today and taking Bear in.  He has not had his kitty deworming yet.  That could be what is wrong... Please keep Bear in your prayers.

Other Updates:
Katie Kitty Too needs deworming. Got rid of those mean old fleas, but they left a yucky present behind...Maxwell Tigger is still having a problem with skin rash - very much improved though.

Doobie is doing goods with hims bad bowel movements. Tried him on several foods, especially corn free...oddly made his bowels worse... Now he is doing fairly well with Iams Adult formula with probiotics.

A tiny feline survivor
More than 14 hours after a tornado blew a hole through his father’s house in Oaklawn and scattered debris across the area, Ken Gardner heard a tiny meow.

He started digging through the rubble Sunday afternoon and found a tiny tiger-striped kitten, scared but alive.

Gardner took the kitten inside his father’s house, and gave it some milk.

His father, Larry Gardner, slept through the tornado that damaged his home Saturday night, which included a soccer sized hole all the way through to the inside wall next to his bedroom.

A Sedgwick County sheriff’s officer knocked on his door around 11:30 p.m. or midnight after the damage had taken place, but he just went back to bed.

“There’s nothing I could have done. It was dark,” Larry Gardner said.

Neither Larry Gardner nor his son know where the kitten came from or how it ended up beneath rubble of the backyard tool shed.

They plan to keep the cat and named it Twister.

Miri had her Lady Surgery Monday!

Hiya Furry Frindz,

Dis am Lady Miri Gentlepurr... Ize just had my Lady Surgery Monday afternoon.

Dis am Monday nite and I'm driving the Mom crazy cause I wanted to run all over the place as soon as I got back home!!

I'm a little loud purr ball wanting lots of tenshunz (attention) and lovins and Mom is having trouble keeping me in the bathroom til tuesday morning.

I thinks the sleepy medz has gone to my headz!  Instead of being dozy like my brutherz waz, I'm all high and hyper....  So can you purr for me to calms down and be a goods gurl and not hurt myself?

Dere is a bits of red on my incision so pleze purr dats I gets all well wif no compurrlicatshunz... (complications).  Cause I do haves an auto immune purrblem sumtimez.

(Earlier this year her paw kept getting swollen along with her lip.  She had to have some steroid shots.  The doc just said it was an auto immune disorder.)

Purrz n stuffs to one and all!!!  Hope efurry onez had a goodz Thanksgiving!

Update on da update... 

Dis am Bootsie... fur folks dat bin askin... My health am da bestest. I doin good and happier now I had my lady surgery last April. I luv rolling around and getting tummy rubs more den ever! My scar is hard to findz and I am furry glad bout dat! Mom sayz da bloodworks waz good and dat I had all my shots n stuff. I am turning 4 I finks... Mom is gonna chek on dat.

While we am bin gone from bloggin, furry sad fings happined.

We am furry sadz dat Sweet Praline has gone over the bridge. We amz honored and blessed that the Mom got to draw this beautiful angel last year before hur went over the bridge.

We am glad dat Sweet Praline am watching over Truffle da sweet kitty now at Paula's house onda Sweet Purrfections Blog.

We am furry sadz bout Miss Peach goin over the bridge. We love Miss Peach and hopes to meets da gentle kitty in heaven.

Yet her iz waiting fur her Mommy, just like my kitty brutherz n sister, Sandy, Snow Baby, Boo Bear n Mouse amz waitin fur our Mommy n me sumdaze to be wif dem. And other kittiez dat I dint gets to meet yet dat Mommy loved am ther, like Sammy, Jason, Aone, Kitty and Marbles.  (Aone n Kitty waz our grand mommiez cats).

Bootsie Woo Update After Sugery

Update on Bootsie after her lady surgery on Friday.

I asked Cat Hospital to board little Bootsie over the weekend so they could keep an eye out for any complications. (They also did routine bloodwork before the surgery - still waiting on the results.)

I picked her up Monday afternoon. Poor sweetie had a bladderful and relieved herself the moment they put her in the carrier. (I'm wondering if she didn't much like the litter box they gave her.) Stopped by a store and got her a little blue lap blankie. After I switched out the old soaked towel, she was so happy, that she started paddy pawing the new blankie!

Got her home and isolated her in the bedroom from Max and Katie, so she could rest. I made a little nest with the blankie and she rolled round in it. Would show you photos, but the USB transfer cable is hiding somewhere.


Bootsie smelled like icky perfumed clay litter and fresh urine. The little sweetie let me give her a paper towel bath moistened with baking soda water, while she rolled around on her new blankie.

I'm concerned that Cat Hospital did not give me any antibiotics or pain meds to take home with her as that was normal procedure at Indian Hills Animal Clinic. Yet so far, Lil Boo's incision seems fine, but I'm surprised at how long it is on such a short little girl. And she doesn't seem to be in much pain at all, just a little sore.

Will write another update tomorrow and hopefully the camera cable will wriggle out from hiding by then!

Update On Maxie #2

(1:46pm CST) - A quick update note from the Mom{ Maxi is doing much better today. I talked to the clinic that did the surgery. They said to keep an eye on the swelling and seepage. If the drainage turns bloody to call them back.

The swelling has gone down quite a bit and he's just a little tender. I talked to Indian Hills, our regular vet about pain meds. They want an exam (another 48.00) on top of the take home oral liquid. I still don't like the way one of the sacs is healing. I may take him to Indian Hills in the morning. - Katie Kat}

Maxie gotted a 24 hour anesthetik, but dis fiesty boy already runnin round momz bedroom not settlin down. Himz bun bun iz sore, Mom tried ta help dem Sax cloz bettur. Him cried n gotted upset -- just a wittel cuz hims luvs mom. We thot dey givz pain pillz fur home, but whn she cums ta gets him - dis pill onlee fur dogz!?! Nuffin fur kittehz?!?

Mom finks dat dehr is stuffoms fur kitteez like shotz or liquid stuff, like I gotz wif my ladee opurayshun. Mom iz phonin Indian Hillz (our regular vet) when da sun cumz ups and ask fur a followup visit ta chek Maxie and get sum kinds of meds for dis soreness. Weze finds out and lets u knoh.
