Hiya Furry Friends, Chiquita here having a nice Easy Sunnyday selfie and the last night of Hannukah be tonight. Katie Mom am doing much better from last Sunnyday - turns out may have been an allergy to seasoning or sumpin in the food her ate.

We are doing flashback selfies as this selfie of me was taken on 2017 8th of April. Hanukkah today we remembers Flash who went over the Rainbow Bridge May 2017. Hanukkah 2016 was Flash's furst time to celebrate Hanukkah and him asked lots of questions...

Angel the Fetch Kitty: Is he the guy who Whacked Bees with Hammers?

Katie Too: No! Judah Maccabee saved the Jewish People from the mean King Antiochus Eppiphaneez...who wanted to sacrifice a pig at the temple.  Judah Maccabee and hims brothers fought the Greeks and made them go home. Then they rededicated the temple and found oil for one day to light the menorah, but it lasted 8 days!Judah was called The Hammer, that's what Maccabee means.

Angel: but Joey said he whacked bees.

Katie Too: That's like a dumpling made of flour and cooked in chickens. Bear likes chickens.

Lil Bear: but Joey said they were bouncy balls that didn't bounce.
Katie Mom: Depends on how hard the dumplings are... On to the third verse.

Joey: oh that's just money made of chocolate... we can't eat those.  Now if someone would make them out of cheese...

Joey: Yes they are lots of funs... They are spinning tops and when humans spin them, you can chase them til they fall over. Dreidels in America have the Hebrew letters Nun Gimmel Hay and Shin which stands for Nes Gadol Haya Sham. (typo fixed), that means A Miracle Happened There. In Israel the Dreidels have a Pay letter instead of Shin for  Nes Gadol Haya Po, A Miracle Happened Here.

Flash: Where did Dreidels come from?

We hazn't been onda bloggie in a long time cause we hide under Uncle Mike's bed alot, likes the Trout Talkin Tabbies last Wednesday who were under da bed hiding frum da scary snake dats wants ta takes over da worlds wif dat bast turd shark.

Unless the Mom gets chicken or turkey out of Uncle Mike's magic cold box where good foods come from... (fridge) den we comes running to the kitchen!
 
If you all gets to sees us on Facebook, then you knows that on Furry Friday, me, dats Lulu and Annie May went on a long 2 hour and half trip to Manhattan, Kansas to gets our lady oppurayshuns at the Kansas State Mobile Vet Unit and another 4 hours back cause the car tooks mom onda wrong highways twice!!!

We are furry goods getting over our surgeries and long trip.
We slept most of the time there and back.

Here am selfies dat Mom helped us with after our surgeries, just before we started on our way back to Wichita. We was sleepy still so didn't looks up.

We are now recooper rating under the bed and getting yummies to eat. We haven't found any monsters or snakes yet, just dust bunniez.

Now fur a furry short other mewz update. 

Debra was able to get half the bill to start cremation fur her sweetie. We helped some with that... now to make payments on the rest which is about 80 dollars. 













Silvia's girls, Natasha and Mama Narcisca saw the vet but he didn't do bloodwork yet. He suggested that they might have fatty liver syndrome and to eat one meal a day and wait for them to feel like eating... Silvia tried this but didn't help.

They still don't have appetites and throwing up when they do eat. (FLS requires blood work to confirm the lack of not doing blood work is very confusing.)

Guero at Vets and Hanukkah Song Fur Mew Years Eve

Yesfurday, Guero went to the vets early in the morning 
Him needed to gets antibiotic and a shot fur pain.  Last time he went to the vets they only gave him half a dose of evfurryting insted of full doses... that might be why him had to come backs so soon.

Guero sang the song of Hims People at the vets.

Guero gets UTI's easily cause him no has boy parts no mores... Guero am so goods and only wants loves.

When Guero gotted home, him went sleepy and started feeling betters.  Vet bill was 75.00.

After taking Auntie Silvia and Guero to vets, Katie Mom and Uncle Mike wents to picks up metals and met this doggie named Chloe.  Chloe's daddy gaved an old rusted bench and an air conditioner frame... then off to picks up an exercise bike! And then Auntie Katie tooks an old metal shelf outta da garage old metal cabinet outta basement. Uncle Mikes puts in car parts into da trucks and then off to the recyclers... 360 pounds and about 20.00 - dats was goods and helped pay part of Guero's vet bill.

Todays, Uncle Mike and Auntie Katie gonna picks up more metals and Uncle Mike am going to works on Auntie Silvia's car... Dat's all fur now on Mew Year's Eve. We talks again tomorrows...  Purrz from Katie Kitty Too.

Elly May And Molly - Kin to Jolly

Our Nana's neighbor - has a sweet black cat named Jolly. He is Elly May's Daddy and brother to Molly, Elly May's mom. Molly and Elly May are staying at the Mom's house.

Jolly had to have emergency surgery to save his life last night. Dangerous abscess by his ear. Don't know how he got hurt - possibly deliberate.

Asking for help and purrz. Had to make down payment of $360 - $200 from donations earmarked to pay Silvia's rent on Tuesday and 130.00 from Care Credit. Even a vet tech donated 10.00.

Do not know yet what final bill will be or outcome of Jolly's surgery. Please pray and share and spare some change with paypal donation button on the top right. Will update everyone on Jolly's condition as soon as info available...

KFM Am Changing And Urgent Guero Update

Jan 2, 10:10am Mew Guero Update -  He made it through the night. Headed to my vet for a check up ... will post more this afternoon...  -Katie

An Almost Good Update: 
Guero is relieving himself some - a small portion at a time, but not normally... and he is still in pain.  Chances are, Silvia and I will need to take him in to the ER today and no later than tonight..  Please pray and help with any donation you can give.

I will talk to Silvia about taking Guero to see our vet - who might be open tomorrow - for another opinion... but I don't know if Guero should wait that long... 

Thursday, Guero had to go into vet to have a catheter put in so he could relieve himself.. cost: 225.00 and still he is not well!  The vet at Arapaho Clinic has given Guero Convenia three times in a row - and Guero just keeps getting worse and not better... He had promised to try another antibiotic and he didn't. 

Guero's urethra is swollen and there is mucus - obviously an infection. - he cannot pass his urine in more than a small amount - too painful.. I need to get him to my vet, but I do not have much funds... I am praying that my vet is open tomorrow.

CHANGES AM COMING TO KATIEZ FURRY MEWZ BLOG!



We am now unofficially a Not for Profit Fund dat helps animals and paw families in needs.  We wanted to use Katiez Katz as our DBA.  A DBA means we will haz a dedicated Bank Account under our Doing Business As name. Howsom-ever, there is already pawsible conflict with using Katiez Katz, since there is a facebook person using that moniker already. We would have to add a word to Katiez Katz, such as Katiez Katz Foundation. 

So we will simply be DBA Katiez Furry Mewz, since we have been known by that name for 10 years and there isn't any conflicts.

Mom also has two other DBAs: The Purple Kattery Art Studio and LifeGate Enterprises. The Purple Kattery is the name we use on FaceBook, eBay, CraigsList, and online selling places. We haven't used LifeGate Enterprises in years because there was a pawsible conflict with that name.  

The Mom's dream is to found a no-kill cat sanctuary in central Kansas (outside of Sedgwick County) called The Purple Kattery or LifeGate Pet Sanctuary (LGPS), like Best Friends, with cat rooms vs cages... Mom's vision is to find a church or similar building for sale that has a kitchen and lots of rooms in the next 3 years. 

Right now Katiez Furry Mewz aids and supports Lifeline Animal Placement and Protection, a local no-kill sanctuary who have over 200 cats in their care.  We will aid LAPP first with their vision of animal protection... KFM also supports Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary
