Saturday, I broke a toe on my right foot - the one next to the little toe. Hobbling around until toe heals. Still need to get crutches.

Bobbie and Tailor have a furry good home, but Tailor is not adjusting well. She needs your purrs. Her genetic make up more wild than tame. Pray that she bonds to her new human. Will be getting some Feliway to help.

Laura Belle has a furever home!!! Hallelujah! Yes, she has filled out a bit from her younger photo. Just look at that smile! And her new mommy will be getting her spayed too.

Growing and growing....
Just last Friday the 10th, the Little Boy (grey tabby) finally graduated from lapping kitten replacement to crunching Purina Kitten Chow. One of his big sisters likes canned Kitten Fancy Feast, while the other two prefer crunchy kitten food!

Sincerest apologies for posting there would be more kitten photos to see on Saturday, October 4th and then no post on October 4th!  

To make a long story short, my mother (sometimes mentioned as Nana or Granmawmee) had a brain tumour removed more than ten years ago. She is experiencing similar headaches and extreme mental tiredness. She has not been physically well lately either.  Please pray that the tumour has not returned and for her overall health.

Dearest Fur People of the Innernetz,

This is Uncle Doobie reporting that my little niece Laura Belle am looking fur her fur ever Mommy.

Lil Miss Laura Belle's Favorite thing to do is be carried around in a tight hug. She may be shy around strangers, yet will warm up to a quiet, patient human.  She is good around other kitties, but has never met a dog.  Howsome ever, Laurie would be really good as an only kitty, as she craves lots of extra attention and prefers to have her own litter box.

Just over 5 pounds at One years old. Laura Belle still needs to be spayed.

Her sisters LuLu and Annie still need spayed, too (and fur-ever homes!).  The Mom is setting up a fund to raise money for the surgeries.
Will tell you more about that later this week.

She and her sisters and brother, who also need homes, had recent birthdays and rescue anniversaries. Which the Mom has not posted about yet. They were "rescued" June of last year.

She is listed under Persians (mixed) as Rescue Me doesn't have a listing for petite long haired kitties.  Laurie is related to an abandoned long-haired orange kitty that the Mom used to feed several years ago. We don't know if him was a Maine Coon mix or Persian mix.

Please tell your Moms and Dads that our Mom Katie has artwork up on eBay!  Any funds fur those sales will go toward Lil Bear's nootering bill.  The Mom hopes to haves more arts and other stuffs fur sale soon.  

Later the Mom says her will makes more art to helps us gurls get our surgeries and fur Oreo too!  Sum stuffs might be put at her Bonanza booth.

Laura Belle came back frum the vets and Dr. Johnson finks her nots have infection soo no antibiotix rite now... 

Him said to watch Laura fur a few more days since her am not have a fever and am eating and gots her yelling lungs working (Laura meowed loudly all the way to the vet).... 

Howsome ever, Lil Bear am sneezing and Ize having sum trubble wif breathing a bits.

So the Mom might need to take Bear and me in later this weeks if we keeps having dis kitty cold stuffs too.

Two Posts and a Purr Please

Good Afternoon furry Friends... My name is I-Love Lulu... yes dats my name... 

Evfurrybody just calls me Lulu or Lu fur short. The Mom named me after a street and someone named Lucille Ball cause I has a jester face and loves to play and make folks laugh. I was a bit of a Lulu when she first brought us in.  I wasn't good at trusting peeple yet... Now I loves them and makes chirpy sounds just to say I love you.  I'm not sure why she thinks I look like a ball though.
Furrst ams all we am doing Secret Paws dis year!  Weze am doing ours in two furry fun parts... One frum the Dad who am in another country and one package from all us kittiez and the Mom in America!  If we tells where the Dad am, it might give away where it am going...Well part one frum the Dad am mailed on Monday but the mom furgotted to tell the dad purrson about taking a photo...

Little Sammy in Da Box n Toby

He doesn't has a camera...sooo... weze tellz u dats der am fun stuffoms init.... sum treetz and Soft Toys Fur Whoppin (dis am clue)!!  The Dad said sumpin waz pink or blue but he dint send us a photo... Secondly, my brother Joey the Nike cat wons sumpin!  At The Opinionated Pussycat, Joey entered a survey give away! Here's the survey questions:
1. When does your human choose to give you treats?
and/or 2. What do you do to get them to do your bidding and give you treats? 3. How much do they give you at each serving?

 Heres what Joey said:

Well I have to remind her to give out the treats to everyone you know... Lil Bear just yells at her and the Lady goes running to the bedroom to feed him... what about the rest of us? So he's the youngest... he's not little any more. He should eat with us in the kitchen... and we should eat his food for him... oh wait...that's why she closes the door.

Back to this treat thing. Sometimez when the dark comes through the windows, the Mom Lady rattles the treat bag.

How do I get her to give me the treats I require?

I have to reminder her that I am the main cat and should be fed first. I remind her by jumping on her shoulders. See I am the main boy cat. Nobody else does that.

Oh wait, Lil Bear keeps imitating me... He keeps getting on her shoulders. THAT'S MY JOB!!!

The only problem is that the Mom Lady needs to grow bigger shoulders now that I am about 14 inches long from shoulder blade to hip... She doesn't listen. Maybe if she ate the treats too then her shoulders would get bigger... oh well.

The Mom lady hands out these green crunchies and they are wonderful... I make her give me a ton of them of course. They are mine. All treats are mine. I am the NIKE CAT. I have to keep up my strength to save kitties tied to railway tracks and you know, Hero stuff.

And him won first place!!! wowee! Dats meens Joey has to share his Ideal Balance treets when they come!

Thirdly, this am my sister Laura Belle...

Her am having the sniffles... The Mom am taking her to see Dr. Johnson dis afternoon fur hur sniffles... You see us four kits hads upper respiratory infections when we waz likes 3 weeks old. Sumtimes we have the sneezies still but we gets over dat. Laura not getting betters and bins sneezing and drippy nose fur lots of days. So her needz purrz. 

Soon us gurls will need our lady surgeries and we are going to Dr. Johnson and nots a low cost clinic cause we waz sick as little girls and Dr. Johnson will monitor us during surgery and make sure we am safe. 

Weze gonna finds out how much that will be and ask Dr. Johnson to set up an account dat you can donate to helps us gets our surgeries safe and sound and comes home healthy.

When Angel went to the Rainbow Bridge after her lady surgery, the Mom decided that it am best dat me, Laura Belle and Anna May (formerly Pattie - she didn't like the puffy sound of "P" -mom ) will go to see Dr. Johnson. Since he will be using all the latest surgery equipment like heart monitors and oxygen and stuffs it will cost more...yet we will comes home safe and sound.  And dat am worth everything.  We will get you the information on how you can donate directly to Dr. Johnson fur our surgeries and how much funds we will need.

Indubitably Doobie Repurrting

Hellow every furry purrson, So much happened sense last post dats da Mom haves been tireds and starin at da pootur wif writing blocks.... Ize hads lots of cat naps soh me do da post today.

Furst we knohs its am Fridaze, but weze wants to say a Thankful for Thursdays.

Last week da foster lady (dat waz lookin after Angel an hur kittens) gotted really bad hurted.

Some mean man clawed her wif a knife.  Her gotted slashed under her arm and her neck and hads to go to hospital. We ams so furry thankful her am alive.  

Weze also thankful her proudly served in da military.  And weze am sooo thankful dats her lovez animals and loves helpin save dehr lives.

Buts we am mads dat all da news medias repurrted dat her waz da one wif a knife...  dats sooh dumb... how cum u am all dum, Newz Repurrterz???  (Plz helps da mom tell deze newz repurrterz how dum day are and comments on deze articles - links above. Plz looks fur the moms comments. Ifns u wants more info, just email da mom.  Fanks!)

Thankfully dat mean man waz all rested... noh dats not right... MOM!!!

Oh... him was Arr Rested.  dats meen him was growled at, puts in a cage and cant get out!! YAY!  Bad Man go bye bye!


Last week Mom got Angel n Kittens cuz da foster mom can't look after them now.   

Day stayin at a house Mom's fambly needs to sell. Mom checks on dem evfurry day. Dayz doin real goods... and bout 4 weeks old.  Dayz eatin sum soft yummies and nursing wifs Mommy Angel. 

Seconds, Laurie and Lulu ams doins much betters now from the sniffles.  (Weze am Thankful dats Annie not gotted sicks!)

But Joey had to haves a different antibiotic.  Da Clavamox not worked fur him and him was wheezy and stuffs last weekend. Soh Dr. Johnson. gave the Mom sum doxycycline and cerenia fur him.  Hur crushed da doxycycline in Joey's foods n him ate it! Da cerenia pill am small n easy to takes wif food.  Joey now nots haves any wheezies.... 

Well da Mom hopes to gets my nieces and nephew, dats Lulu, Laurie, Annie and Joey, dehr lady and gentleman opurrayshuns furry soon and her am still looking fur dehr furever Mommies. And Angels 4 kitties gonna needs to find dehr furever Mommies furry soon too. (here am Laurie, Joey and Lulu on da couch)

Well looks like me and Lulu gots the sniffles too.  Good thing dat Dr. Johnson gaves the Mom lots of Clavamox to takes home... Mai nose am funny doh... it gets stuffed on one side only!

So far Annie... aka Lilah Tov and Uncle Doobie am nots sneezing!

Me n Lulu am taking Clavamox now too.  I don't minds the taste much... Lulu likes it okay but Laurie don't likes it no mores. So the Mom gives her a treat of tastey canned foods for taking her meds.

ANGEL AND KITTENS
Next sumpins am that Angel and her kittens are doing real good. And der foster mom used a natural remedy on ta little kitten with the swollen eye and dat worked purrfectly! dat kitty am all betters now!  Hallelujah!  Rezon Mom donts got new photos yet cuz da foster lady and Mom gots ta gets their schedules lined up!  The foster Mom works as a waitress and am only off a few days of the week.  Dis last week the Mom was all tired out and stuffs and dint have transport sooo her gonna try to gets together wif da foster Mom dis weeks! 

PURRZ 4 SISFUR LAURIE and SMOKEY of 40 PAWZ

Now for da fing to purr bouts... my little sister Laura has gots da sniffles - stuffed up nose and sum wheezies.  So the Mom tooks her to Dr. Johnson yesterday (Caturday) morning.  da rest of us wents too.

We all gots our weights and lungs checked ta makes sure dats only Laurie had da sniffles n stuffs. Alla da rest of us ams fines.
Lulu am doing goods, even though hur breethes faster than me n Annie when weze relaxin... Dr. Johnson said dat mite be normal fur her.  Lulu am 4 and half pounds!

Annie am doing real goods, but hur am silly and dont likes to be held... Annie am 4 and a 1/3 pounds. 

But little Laurie am just over 3 pounds!  And dats fines cuz hur just gonna be a normal sized gurl.  Hur not have no fever or dehydrated or nuffin... just sniffles and sneezies and trubble breethin.  She taking Clavamox again.  If her starts sounding better by Monday... den dats be goods and she takes all her meds for bout 2 weeks... but ifns she still sounding sniffly and wheezy, den Dr. Johnson wants to try her on a kitty allergy med.

Weze all gots to thanks da Mom at Forty Paws who made it pawsible fur Laurie to sees da vets yesterday!!  Thank you Merceda!

Her haz a great website and one of her babies needs purrz too!  Her kitty Smokey has small-cell lymphoma in his intestines. He hasn't been feeling too good for a while, and had exploratory surgery on Tuesday. His biopsies showed the cancer.

They will start him on Chlorambucil and Prednisolone and see if it will go into remission. This is very sad for them.   His brother, Obi, crossed over in May and Smokey is only 11 years old.

Pleeze pur for Smokey and let her know you am purring!  Hur gave to us and now her haz needs fur Smokey....

Thankful Thursday Kittens and Stuff

 

Joey relaxing hours after he spent the morning limping on his hind leg. Since I only heard a blood curdling yell and no other noises, wish Lil Joe could tell me if he fell and banged his hip or just got the worst leg cramp in kitty history.

He sure scared the heck out of me!!! I was crying and so worried that something horribly awful had happened. After I updated how Joey had started walking and jumping around, I love Fuzzy Tales comment, "We're sure this is a huge relief--take a deep breathe...in...out...in...out. LOL."

That night he had a growth spurt which might point to muscle cramps and growing pains. According to some websites, cats can have leg cramps just like us people. Anyone know a kitty that has had muscle cramps?

Joey does have the longest legs and is very long waisted. 
So is his sister Lulu.

Lulu was the only one who relaxed on the scale. All her siblings wanted back down!

Annie was 3.03 and Sweet Little Laurie at only 2.13. (playing with boxes yesterday in the living room)

Everyone gained a little weight since Saturday before last and all four were doing great with no upper respiratory symptoms until last night. Now Joey's having some yuckies in his nose again. Good thing Dr. Johnson gave me a second box of Clavamox (two Saturdays ago). This box isn't mixed up yet so it will be fresh. In spite of this slight set back in Joey's URI recovery, will be concentrating on finding these four kitties furever Mommies. There are several very good Vet clinics;to send flyers to - hopefully this week.

And Doobie is doing really well after his neutering... his digestive system has calmed down too. Now a week later, he is having normal bowel movements for the first time!!! I am so thankful that I can finally concentrate on finding Doobs his very own forever home too.

The vet's assistant at Spay and Neuter of Kansas thought Doob's name should be Hoss! Well he actually lost a pound after the surgery, but he might have gained it back. I still think of him as Davey the Brave, big goofy sweetheart...he loves watching the kittens and wants to play too.
