Molly Tells About Nana Update and JJ's Kittens

Thank you for all your purrs and prayers for the Mom's Mom.  After going Via Christi Immediate Care (vs  Emergency Room )  Our Nana is getting better... She has a very bad and painful UTI. Please have your human tell you what that is.  Cats can get them too and they can be very painful and you have to take yucky medicine, sometimes pills that are so big and hard to swallow!  Nana still needs a new MRI to check her head to make sure no more bad tumours are growing.  The good doctor at Immediate Care Suggested some very good doctors for Nana and the Mom to visit.  Hopefully Nana will have her MRI soon. 

Thank you so much for sending your purrs and funds to help me and my kittens... The Mom says they might be ready for their forever homes in a few weeks... and then I can get spayed. I love my kittens, but would really like a break and not have to worry with more children in the future...

Now the Mom tells me about another mother cat named J.J. and her kittens that are at Uncle Mike's house and they are living outside.   One of the black kittens has no tail!  J.J. looks like her brother Joey.  Joey and J.J.'s mom is a black cat named Yubie (aka Hubie).  J.J. is from Yubie's second litter.  The Mom has not seen Yubie in a long time, but we are all very glad that J.J. came to Uncle' Mike's house to be fed and cared about.  J.J. is shy of humans, but wants her kittens to have a good life.  

 
So far, the Mom was able to bring in the tabby kitten and found out that kitten is a boy... so now Tabby Kitten is in the bathroom. He was very scared at first, but now lets the Mom handle him a lot... but he misses his littermates and J.J. very much and cries alot when left alone in the bathroom...
Please purr that the Mom can capture the other two kittens so they can have a good life and help Tabby Kitten not be so lonely.

The Mom is going to put J.J. and the other kitten's food inside a kennel cage and when they all go in, she can close the door... but J.J. may get too fraidy.   If only J.J. knew that the Mom is good people so she could learn about the wonderful world of indoor living...

The Mom hopes that J. J. will stay close after the kittens are brought into the house, so that she can get spayed... 

Back to remodeling the blog... The Mom needs to get all my kittens posted in a blog page so that when good people answer the ad for my kittens, they can see what my sweethearts look like...  and of course the Mom and I will interview everyone and ask lots of questions so we can find the right home for my girls and my little boy.

Mom's headaches are so severe this morning that we are headed for ER.

Dr. Joanna Tran, my mother's previous "primary care physician" sent her a letter two months ago, basically "firing" my mother from being her patient. Rate MDs

Mollys Kittens from Friday Oct 3

Growing and growing....
Just last Friday the 10th, the Little Boy (grey tabby) finally graduated from lapping kitten replacement to crunching Purina Kitten Chow. One of his big sisters likes canned Kitten Fancy Feast, while the other two prefer crunchy kitten food!

Sincerest apologies for posting there would be more kitten photos to see on Saturday, October 4th and then no post on October 4th!  

To make a long story short, my mother (sometimes mentioned as Nana or Granmawmee) had a brain tumour removed more than ten years ago. She is experiencing similar headaches and extreme mental tiredness. She has not been physically well lately either.  Please pray that the tumour has not returned and for her overall health.

Wonderful Wednesday Toby Tail Mewz!

Last Week in Purrview:

Funny Worm! After Bandage Came Off Thursday AM

April 22nd Tuesday am: Toby's tail felt warm thru the bandage. Worried that he might be running a small temp.  Uncle Mike and I took Toby to the vet late afternoon. 

Thankfully no fever! And his tail was no longer warm. Dr. Johnson changed his meds to Zeniquin, since Amoxicillin (from Emergency Clinic) seemed to be making his stools a bit loose.  The Doc said should be able to remove Toby's bandage on Friday. Made Apt for Fri 4:30pm.

April 24th Thursday 6:00 am: When Uncle Mike awoke to go work, The bandage had come off on its own! Mike called the emergency vet who said as long as not red or swelling, just coat it in triple antibiotic to keep it moist.  I looked after Toby's tail while Mike went to work. Toby's Tail looked like a funny little worm sticking out of his fur.  No redness or swelling!  Healing really well, only dry and itchy. ITCHY TAIL!!! Toby wanted to get at his tail!  Poor kitty... The collar kept hims tail safe.  Toby licked the collar instead.

Early Friday 1AM:  Just getting ready to update the blog and let y'all know how good Toby was doing.   

Nana Mom calls (that's My Mom.. to kitties her am Nana), She is really sick from bad foods. She couldn't tell food was too old in fridge.  I rush to the Walmart (only store open), buy supplies like Pepto Bismol tablets, Gatorade, 7-Up, Imodium.  When I get there, she's throwing up and all that other yucky stuff. In and out of the bathroom all night... Very weak. I had to nurse Nana Mom all Friday.  Called Dr. Johnson and changed Toby's Appt to Saturday at 1pm... 

Stayed with Nana Mom Friday night and fed her chicken broth and Gatorade.
Saturday Morning: did errands for Mom while she slept.

Saturday Afternoon 1 PM: Dr. Johnson checked Toby. He thought his tail was healing really well! Sutures might take 7 to 10 days to dissolve.  Toby was going to have to wear that collar for a least another week or so...

The rest of Saturday and Sunday to Monday.... Looked after Nana Mom and made sure she had something easy to eat and drink.  Her computer doesn't get on the internet very well.. (getting a new pc ready for her hopefully next weekend).

Thankfully Nana Mom has nearly recovered from bad foods with the help of Pepto Bismol tablets, Gatorade, chicken noodle soup broth and a lot of rest. (And no trip to Emergency Room!!)

And Toby am being a furry good boy!!
What a trooper! Toby hasn't tried to get the collar off... he just lays around in Uncle Mike's bedroom.  He's figured out how to eat and drink with the collar on.

So What happened this week on Tuesday and Wednesday????

Dis why da Mom am shy bout dat....
see hur hadz a cancer scare long before we waz borned. Da doctor did an autopsy on da wart and waz precancerous. Soh dey used sumpin to kill all da skin round dis bad wart and it hurt a lot. Dey put silver in the area and it not come bak.

Sumtimes tumors can be as deadly as cancer.

Our daddy purson had a tumor in his kidney dat burst and him was furry sick back in 1996. Dat waz a mirackle him survived. And him also had a tumor on him brain when he was furry young - bout two years old.

Da Nana hads a brain tumor removed about ten years ago - now hur haz aphasia and severe hyperacusis, which keep her from going to normal places likes churches and walmarts.

Aphasia is literally an impairment of language ability, which can range from having difficulty remembering words to being completely unable to speak, read, or write. Sometimes most of ability is recovered thru physical therapy.  "Nana" couldn't even speak right after surgery.

Hyperacusis is defined as a collapsed tolerance to normal environmental sounds. This can be caused by inflammation of the ear drum or dysfunction in the brain itself. A dysfunction of processing sound in the brain can even cause someone to fall while hearing a loud noise, which happens to "Nana." Both of these disorders can result from brain surgery. The "daddy purson" (my hubby) also has a milder form of aphasia and hyperacusis. Both "Nana" the "Daddy Purson" have have actually gone into a state of shock from certain loud noises. }

In Mom's fambly three other peeplez hadz tumors, two in der brains and one haz a tumor behind da eyez.  Da fambly dat hads brain tumors did not survive likes our Nana did.

Furst, Daisy'z mammary glands are almost back to "normal." Mom gave her warm packs and cold packs fur a few days last week and den dey started goin down on derh own!!

Nana iz sum better - thanks fur purrin! hur rested lots and da intestinal soreness wents away... hur is still furry tired. Nana and Mom wz all skerrd last week dat Nana hafta go to hospittal. Dis mirakul so far dat we iz purrin fur Nana to gets reel bettur.

Our Mom n Daddy Purrson hads dehr annifursary on Sunnyday... but Mom n us cant seez Daddy Purrson cuz sum meen peeplez sayz him did sumpin bads wif no proof n dey lokked him ups...
